Adobe Creative Cloud $29.99AUD Per Month – Save 40%

90

Received this offer via email today, I'd just let my subscription lapse as I wanted to change my Adobe ID, so it was perfect timing. Not often I get to save $240! So pretty happy. Not sure how wide spread this offer is or if it will last long, so get in quick I reckon.

Normally $49.99 per month:

  • Was that because you were a prior purchaser of CS? (see: https://creative.adobe.com/plans?store_code=au)

That might be the reason I received the offer… but in the email it said
"New to Creative Cloud? There's never been a better time to make the move. Get high production value with every video tool and much more for just US$29.99 per month.* But hurry, this offer ends on May 29, 2015.

      So perhaps not?

Also, this time I signed up with a new email address that had never been associated with an Adobe ID. So it does work with new email accounts.

      • From the Email you linked to

"Eligible customers may purchase an Adobe Creative Cloud Complete Membership with annual commitment for a reduced price. Offer valid for purchases of an annual plan, which requires a 12-month contract. This offer is available only to customers who own a Creative Suite edition or individual product in one of the following versions (CS3.x, CS4, or CS5.x, or CS6), and who purchase directly from the Adobe Store or by calling a regional Adobe Call Center. This offer is not available to Education, OEM, or volume licensing customers. Residents of embargoed countries are not eligible. This offer is limited to one (1) purchase of one (1) Creative Cloud Complete annual membership per customer. Offer is subject to U.S. export control laws and laws where the recipient resides. Offer may not be assigned, exchanged, sold, transferred, or combined with any other discount or offer, or redeemed for cash or other goods and services. Offer is valid until May 29, 2015, and can be changed without notice. Void where prohibited or restricted by law."

        • Reading those T&C's it would appear that I'm not eligible because I don't own a previous version.

But the transaction went through and my account is active. Never during the signup process did it mention or ask for any verification of previous versions.

        • @p55mac: Even with this result, I gather it is still only discounted for the first year, then goes back to normal price?

        • Yes, I'd assume so. And I would not be surprised if the AUD price increases sometime this year if our dollar keeps on dropping as well.

Would be interested to know if Adobe's move to subscription model has actually yielded greater long-term profit (in comparison to version upgrading).
Perhaps they have reached saturation of (dependent) customers and now totally reliant on incentives to get ever more subscribers.

  • With all the problems I am having with Dreamweaver I am very close to canceling all my subscriptions with them.

    • have fun cancelling, they make it quite difficult, you have to call them and they will offer you all sorts of crap to stay on and pretend not to hear you say "just cancel it", or go of and talk to a supervisor for long periods of time etc.

I pay $15 a month because I have an .edu.au email address (that I get to keep forever) and since I have already graduated I thought I wonder if it works to put down "staff" instead of student with registration. It meant I didn't have to put a graduation date so I should be able to keep the subscription indefinitely at that price. Not that I'm negging your deal or anything just figured it was good info to put in the comments for anyone who has similar circumstances…
