Free tickets to a couple of Melb International Comedy Festival Shows tonight.

Irish megastar Jason Byrne has been thrilling crowds with his inimitable, frenetic lunacy for 20 years.
His shows have been complete Sell Outs so due to overwhelming demand an extra show has been added this evening

    You must've seen a different Byrne show to me, and considering how freeform he was it's likely, but this was one of the best shows I have ever seen

  You mention you are associated with freetix… So here goes.

  NOT WORTH IT. I booked two tickets last week for a show.
  Planned a night out for the missus, made our way all the way into town, arrived 30+ minutes early at the venue, only to be told that freetix tickets are a 'best effort' service and that despite my booking, there were no more seats left. The ticket booking guy then went on to say that if I had actually wanted to see this show, I should have paid for a ticket like everyone else.
  Very awkward hour followed, as we had to kill some time before our dinner reservation.

  You are not getting free tickets here, you are getting the option to sit in an empty seat IF THERE ARE ANY LEFT.
  Take a gamble if you will be near the venue anyway, but otherwise not worth the risk.

    We apologise about the ticketing last weekend - it was an error on behalf of the Promoter and we were not advised about the reduced allocation until 60 minutes prior to the show. This has never happened before and we have given away literally thousands of complimentary tickets to premium shows over the past year.
    Please contact us directly as we would like to provide you with a couple of complimentary movie tickets to make up for the inconvenience of last weekend.

      Thanks for being honest about the mix up. It was frustrating, but you definitely do not need to provide comp movie tickets.

      Best of luck with your systems and promoters in future. Might try again next time.
