    Description:
"Telstra 3GB Data Sim Without Packaging. Standard Size Sim Only. Expiry 21st March 2015"

    • updated thanks

    • +1

      21st May, not March.

  • Voda $50 sim - whats normal charges for international call if current offer of 10 countries unlimited call expires? Also does this $50 contains any call value or $ value?

  • -1

Rep - With the Vodafone SIM, after 28 days of expiry, which plan will be activated? Or the same $19.80 per month will be active for the next coming months?

    • +1

$19.80 is for the sim with $50 value. if you want to recharge and continue the offer, the recharge costs $50

      • Rep, with vodaphone sim, can we keep the same number once the first sim expires?

        • +2

You'd have to port out and back which is a pain IMO

        • @Steptoe:

          yah its a headache

  • Waiting for them google play credits :P

    • +1

      Nov 2015 :)

  • Rep, I can only find 3GB on post-paid on Telstra.com. Pre-paid is only 2GB as far as I can tell.

    • -1

      iPad sim

    • +1

dont worry its 3GB. Its 3GB data sims.

      • Do these come with $30 credit as well like standard Telstra sim?

        • no they dont

      • thanks, erroorfree .

Also do you know how strict Telstra are with the expiry date ? The reason I ask is that I am currently using a $30 starter pack I activated last week with an expiry date on the pack 15 May 2014.

        • oh your lucky! i think theres a 2 week grace period as far as i remember from my own experience. they dont admit it though.

        • The expiry date only refers to activation. I had 2 sims with expiry date of april 12, activated them on april 11 and data must be used by may 11

  • How fast is your delivery and are the Sims able to be used for 4G

    • +1

      will start dispatching tomorrow

  • what is a Tax ID?? it asking me when I was doing check out..

    • +1

I just placed an order successfully. Though there is red asterisk next to it, company ID and tax ID can be left empty.

  • This may be a stupid question but theoretically, since the Vodafone sims don't have an expiry date, could I buy several of those sims and use them for several months, just having to activate each month and port numbers each month?

    • +2

I think this is possible. You'll have to do a fair bit of SIM gymnastics though.

  • Can the Telstra data SIMs be put into smartphones for tethering, or do they have to be used in devices specifically for data-only SIMs (like wifi modems or tablets)?

    • I've done this and it works fine (wanted to use an old iPhone as a portable hotspot). You can also receive calls as there is a number assigned to it like any phone sim. Funny thing is the number must have previously belonged to someone else because I occasionally get phone calls or text messages.

You can port out and Port back in, it is not illegal but is called number hoping and it is morally wrong and frowned upon. Sometimes porting out can cause hiccups and be delayed. Could be Easy from as quick as 10 mins but have seen cases where it takes 5 days.

    • +4

Morally wrong? Would you please explain?

      • -1

when i worked for vodafone , my boss told me that if we sign someone up or sell them a prepaid service and they are number hoping, that we can get in trouble if we know about it (He said he could loose his vodafone license)
hence why i suspect it is morally wrong

        • Thank you. But what does not please Vodafone management is not necessarily immoral.

How is getting value for money wrong?
You are a real jokster and should think about a career as a stand up comedian, or a priest.

  • Grabbed a couple via your website for my 4G modem - thanks!

  • do u issue tax invoice?

    • theres no tax on sale/purchase of simcards

  • Will you have another batch of Telstra 3GB SIMs in the coming months?

I'm part of a university not-for-profit organisation that mentors primary school kids in Rural WA for a week, and these SIMs are perfect for giving team leaders at each school internet access for admin purposes. Only problem is our next program is end of June/start of July, and we need 12 or so SIMs.. I usually resort to eBay to get them.

    • +1

you can contact us through the website when you need them

      thx

  • thanks, purchased 2x, I would appreciate a speedy post.

  • For the "Telstra 3Gb Data Sim Standard size only", do they connect to the 4G Telstra network or just the old 3G network?

    • I would also like to know the answer to this question

      • +4

        its 4G internet

  • I know voda does not care as long as your equipment is capable but Telstra might be a bit fussy with their 4GeeX and whatever in-house branded services. Think NextGen from years ago it was just glorified 3Gee

  • +1

    Cheers, nice deal

  • When activated with Telstra you automatically get 3GB of data .. I have been cutting down the SIMS to nano size and using them in my iPad Air for internet browsing, and also in an old 4S iPhone to listen to SBS Chill (internet) music on my daily bike ride .. thanks for a GREAT DEAL at a great price!!!

  • how long does it take for postage?

  • Hi, is the vodafone sim card definitely extended til August for international calls? I only need it in June so I don't want to purchase if it'll expire in April. Thanks!

    • hey mate. that information came through a vodafone rep over the phone. however it says till 25th april on voda website. i would suggest waiting until june to buy it

      thanks

  • Telstra sim out of stock.

  • So, even if the international call offer on Vodafone is not extended, the sims are still good for unlimited calls to Australian mobiles and fixed lines, right???

  • Op, How do u get these sims so cheap?

    • easy. traded 5000 eneloops with voda and telstra :)

  • +1

Rep I bought two Telstra SIM card. I activated one of them and I got a message saying the serial number is invalid or has been activated.

Proceed with activating the other one and it was successful. I contacted your info email address and haven't got any response yet.

    • @peuwayaqdq …… I had exactly the same prob with the 2 SIMS I purchased. Put the problem SIM into your device and you may find it already activated like mine was. I had 10 days before expiry on that SIM. Good luck.

    • +1

I'm getting the same error with the serial but my sim isn't even working in my device. Sent an email - waiting for reply.

    • +1

I got a response from phonebot and I am now waiting for my SIM replacement.

      • Hope phonebot do the right thing? Pls let us know so we can assess whether to use them again or ignore future 'bargains'.

        • +1

          Still waiting :(

        • @peuwayaqdq: Hmmmm……you might be flogging a dead horse?

        • @peuwayaqdq:

Me too, but I didn't even get a response.

        • @aoiro: Did you try to call them?

        • +1

          And still waiting :(

        • @peuwayaqdq: Thanks for the heads up, thats no good. Based on their apparent poor customer service, I might give them a miss in future.

        • +1

          @cim85:

I have. They just hang up without saying anything. Gonna open a dispute on paypal now.

        • @aoiro: Good work because if they are going to treat their customers with contempt, you are entitled to money back. I wont deal with them again!

        • +1

@cim85: No response. I'm leave the dispute open (without escalating to paypal claim) for a couple of days to give them a chance to respond, but given their history I doubt I'll hear back. Worse than the money, it's the complete lack of respect for their customers that gets me so furious. I know it's only $11, but they are not doing their reputation any favours here.

        • @aoiro: Sounds like they are as responsive as my ex-wife, lol - thanks for the update.

  • Still waiting for my voda sim

    • Have you got your SIM @powergirl?

      • Yes, got it after 2 days posting the comment.

  • Phonebot .. highly recommended .. I have purchased numerous times from Phonebot .. so far so good!!!
