  • If you just want a cheap wireless KB w/ trackpad they have this: http://www.dicksmith.com.au/computer-accessories/logitech-wi…

For $35. Not in the sale at all, lower model, but if you have a HTPC or such and just need a cheap one to use occasionally, well its cheaper.

I replaced that one with the more expensive Logitech keyboard. It's vastly better in everything, worth the extra IMO.

      • What parts is it better?

K400R is good since you are using AA batteries x 2 and don't have to worry the rechargeable battery dead after a year.

      • I have k400r for 18 months has Light use pretty much every day. Still on original batteries.

        • I have a K400 and it had one battery change in 2 years, it also gets dropped a lot on tiled floor and still looks in original condition

    • Be wary if you put the adapter at the back of a case, as it needs decent line of sight to function properly (at least the 2 i have do). Ended up getting a 2m usb extender for a few bucks and propped it up next to the tv. Works fine now :)

The K830, like most of Logitech's pricier wireless devices, comes with a USB extender because of this.

        • woo now that's fancy :)

  • Very tempted to get another K830, that's a good price.

    [Edit]
Damn, sold out close by. Don't want it that much to warrant a half hour drive, and this:

    Delivery charge $52.95

Is out of the question! lol

  • Got one, cheers. Been looking out for one of these and the fact that it's illuminated is really handy. Had to get it delivered though as my stores nearby were all out of stock.

    • Out of interest, how much was delivery for you?

      • $7.95 for me, that was to Darwin as well which is usually $$$.

        • Pretty good. Mine came up at $52.95 to the Gold Coast. Go figure. Guess it wasn't time for another K830 just yet.

        • @daerka:

          Sorry, super slow response.
Mine was $7.95 as well, in Perth.

          $52.95 is nuts.. !

        • @Deviner: It is. Asked Dick Smith about it. Apparently, two suburbs in our postcode have a $45 surcharge. Fair enough, as these are far out back. Yet, looks like it's too much for Dick to handle, so everyone in our postcode is hit with a $45 surcharge. Meanwhile, our neighbouring suburb happens to be one post code up and gets $7.95 delivery too. Guess I won't be getting any Dick Smith deliveries in future.

  • Anyone tried the Logitech tk820?? Thoughts?
