It worked out $9.59 shipping to my place in NSW.So total is about AUD93. I bought a no brand chinese made from ebay for about $60 which is working ok with some glitches but this is not a bad price for a branded product with good support.

wow, didnt come up on my search.. good find mate

    • Yep pays to shop around.

Even Foscam Australia has it on their own online store for $89.99 with free shipping.

      http://www.foscamaustralia.com.au/Foscam-FI8910W-Wireless-IP…

      http://www.foscamaustralia.com.au/Foscam-FI8910W-Wireless-IP…

And available on eBay Australia from a seller for $89.99 delivered.

      http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/New-Foscam-FI8910W-Wired-Wireless…

      http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/New-Foscam-FI8910W-Wired-Wireless…

So there you go. No need to be buying it from Amazon when it's available from Australia with an Australian AC power adaptor and with aussie warranty for slightly less price. I mean why buy it from Amazon for about $93 AUD delivered when you can just buy it from Foscam Australia for $89.99 delivered or from a seller on eBay AU also for $89.99 delivered also with aussie warranty and aussie power adaptor included. Makes no sense to buy it from Amazon in that case.

So i'd say OP you made a mistake since you could have bought it Australian stock directly from Foscam Australia for $89.99 AUD delivered and shipped from the Melbourne warehouse.

Geez, I think you overdid that, just ended up repeating your point overly much.

        • I think it's a valid point. No point buying overseas from Amazon for more than what you can buy it locally in Australia.

        • @hollykryten:

          "I think it's a valid point…….."

I didn't say it wasn't a valid point. It was just the "stuck record" approach to making the point.

        • Geez no need to say Geez I mean Jeez Geez it makes no sense when you say Geez like that Cheese Freeze in that case!

    Plus SHIPPING

    in title…

Sorry to not include that jv. Ran out of characters. If I included shipping then probably it would have been something else that I would have missed. If mods want, they can edit the post the way they think it should be.

probably it would have been something else that I would have missed.

That's what the 'description' section is for…

  • You can still get the similar camera from Kmart for $29.

    • -4

      A Foscam?

      • It was OfficeOne brand and does all sorts of things which I think is great for only $29. It's not HD but VGA is fine when you're watching a live feed on your phone.

  • You can get the same model for $89.99 plus free shipping and free 3m power extension cable from (http://www.foscamwa.com.au/fi8910w-indoor-pantilt-wireless-i…)

  • How do you get the 3m extension cord? Is it included or a coupon?

    • it comes free for every camera order except fosbaby :)

  • Thanks for that information. No big problem, but does this camera have PoE? I didn't read it in the specs, but thought I'd ask

    • The 8910W is wireless. Foscam poe models tend to end with EP or E In the model title

    • No POE.

  • How does foscam compare to zmodo

  • Get a Hikvision. You' can thank me later.

    • Where from?

      • Aliexpress

        • Ta. Any model in particular that is HD and around $100?

I have 2 of these outdoor (weatherproof, can be used indoors too) 3 Megapixel cameras (2,048 x 1,536 native resolution recording) - they are awesome.
Has on board motion detection and email alerting etc.

        http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Original-hikvision-3megapixel…

Also, one of these indoor 3MP cameras (with PIR motion sensor, microphone, and WiFi) and am considering getting a second.

        http://www.aliexpress.com/item/wholesale-Hikvision-DS-2CD243…

Both cameras models are POE so a single CAT5/6 network cable can provide both data and power.

Note, neither of these are PTZ (pan/tilt/zoom) cameras but if you get the right lens to suit the area you want to cover you should not need movement, and with a massive 3 Megapixel resolution (vs a pitiful 0.3 MP) you can zoom in on the recorded footage.

        Lots of good support: http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum-replies.cfm?t=2386124

These 2 cameras are USD$95 and $119 including postage. A little more than the Foscam, but 10 times the resolution, and a much, much bigger fanbase.

To power the cameras, you can use a generic 12V power adaptor (Dick Smiths etc), or POE using a TP-Link switch..
http://staticice.com.au/cgi-bin/search.cgi?q=tp+link+poe+swi… (from $65 for 100Mbit or or $99 for the Gigabit model)

Or if you want multiple cams, a good option is to get a Hikvision NVR (supports 8 cameras, includes POE, and supports 2 internal hard disks for recording)

        • Great post, thanks.

        • Thanks

Basically the same as the K-Mart $29.95 camera. You are much better off with a H264 camera with ONVIF compatibility if you want to use more than one camera around your premises.

  • I recently purchased a product from WA and had a warranty issue - I am in Syd and spent over $20 in return postage to the store and the item was not large and under a kg. So Beware. As I will never purchase anything from WA as from the east coast to there postage is crazy.

    • Hi Chelseas,

Are you implying that you bought a Foscam camera from us? As far as I'm aware, we had a couple of returns where we have refunded the customer price of postage and absorbed the postage for replacements. There was even one instance where we sent an upgraded model FI9826P for a FI9821W that was more expensive than postage as compliments. Our customers have been 100% satisfied with our level of service.

Please send me a message or email us with your order number if you have actually bought from us and we will look into this matter.

p.s. Thanks for letting us know about Foscam WA not being on the list of official suppliers previously. This has now been updated on the Foscam main website.

      Local Suppliers:

      • FYI - Link is broken for your newly add Foscam WA.

        • Hi Trip,

          Link isn't broken but slow.

          Here are 2 other links.

        • Broken through chrome for me. I get the following when I click the link. May just be me.

        • @Trip:

          Hi Trip,

Try the other 2 links instead :)

  • KOGAN has much better full recording SWANN systems which can work out similar prices per camera and includes a recorder that links to smartphones….

    • KOGAN - better and SWANN in one sentence, doesn't make sense to me :-)

    • Swann are crippled proprietary cameras. They also require an internet connection to even see cameras on your network.

  • I need a 4 channel wireless NVR solution. Simple requirements for a warehouse, mobile app access would be good.
Have already got some Foscams (love em) running individually so not averse to getting more and a standalone NVR that will work with them otherwise would also look at a NVR and camera package?
    Any suggestions at all?

    • +1

      Hi gbh,

Foscam just came out with new NVRs for this purpose specifically. You can have a look at the specs from here.

      1) FN3004H
      2) FN3104H

      • Hey, is there any mobile app/access on these boxes (rather than straight to the camera?)?

    • I use iCam - runs on a pc, can bring four inputs in and then monitor it from a mobile or tablet, also records on movement.
Saves you exposing these very insecure cameras to the internet directly.
