  • Any good pumpkin recipes ?

  • Pumpkin scones but don't ask me for the recipe JV.

  • Sorry that should be 'jv'.

  • I can't seem to find this in the VIC catalogue ???

Looks like we have to settle for $1 continental cucumbers………

    • I've heard Lady Flo's Cucumber Scones are actually quite good…

To be more accurate, it's $1/kg. As with many produce items, pumpkins are sold by weight.

The 'whole' serves to differentiate from cut pumpkins. Sometimes uncut produce is sold cheaper than cut produce due to the need to move a large amount of product, minimising labour costs.

    • Well aren't you a smart kent?

  • Yeah pretty sure these are by kg weight, since each one weighs different

    • Pretty sure you didn't read the catalogue

  • Woolies gold coast is $1 per kg not $1 per pumpkin. Bought some yesterday.

  • Coles in Sydney they are $0.90/kg (in store today anyway)

  • Well it's deceptive advertising as it says "$1 each" not "$1 per kg (uncut). Sounds like you could be right but I'll be very disappointed

They did have $1 per pumpkin a couple of weeks ago. I got one delivered, which weigh 5.2kg. I have cooked pumpkin soup, pumpkin pie, pumpkin muffines so far and still got half of it sitting in the fridge :-)

  • Catalog shows that onions are $1/kg in SA. No need to cook or wash or peel, just bite into them!

  • I just tried to order online from the catalogue. It does say $1 each when I go to checkout it charges $3.50. I think if I take the catalogue into the store they will have to honour it. It does say Each and not per KG

    • Looks like they have updated the site…
