I haven't seen bananas this low for some time. In Rockdale Aldi they were just restocking so don't let them wait for you too long…

i got some really nice bananas from Central Market (SA) for $0.99 a kilo a few weeks ago

Must be some stores, as website lists them as $1.99. Or am I missing something

  Perhaps they have excess of bananas in Rockdale, hence the lower price.

i've scored some at $0.99/kg at local fruit shop but $1.29 is still a good price

I've been buying them for $0.99/kg at my local fruit shop (Campbelltown, NSW).
Still, $1.29 is a decent price for them.
