30% off the airline component, not the taxes, so actual saving less than 30% - will vary by destination.

    Still, better than nothing.

Didn't get email, but doesn't appear to be targeted.

  • damn no domestic flights

can you apply the code AAX2015 manually somehow?

It is an AirAsiaX sale, not AirAsia sale.
Only valid for flights operated by AirAsia X (D7), AirAsia X Thailand (XJ), Indonesia AirAsia Extra (XT)

Deal title should be changed to reflect this.

Thanks OP booked Melbourne to Bali return for 4 people $1,200 in May (No extras, no checked in luggage no seat selection etc)
    Decent deal,

Can someone clarify how much carry on luggage am I allowed, it's not in any of the emails or itinerary.

    • +1

carry on is the standard 7kg limit. I've seen them charging for extra weight on carry on

You're probably going to be the only Australian there lol

7kg in a carry on + 3kg laptop bag (up to you if you wish to have an actual laptop in there).

    • +1

      No, it's 7kg total.

I highly recommend a ScotteVest. Lots of pockets, you can carry all your tech without it counting in the 7kg limit. Even spots for wet items, like toothbrushes!
Then you can pack lite for the luggage you need in somewhere nice and tropical.

nice gear, but cost of jacket ~$150ish buys a fair bit of baggage. Handy for the very frequent traveler though.

Walking through an airport with a big bulky jacket - in a hot climate.
Look forward to being pulled aside and possibly poked in private.

Will never give another dollar to Indonesia!
Not after letting Bali bombers walk free like heroes!

    • ummmm……..forget it.

    • They are Malaysia not Indonesia.

  • A quick search for 10 June - $130 Kuala Lumpur to Sydney!

  • Great first post OP. Booked flights Melb-Jakarta-Yogyakarta-Return

  • I booked my Bangkok-Perth return via KL 30 minutes prior to seeing this post. I thought I was going to kick myself.

However checking my flights: using the (BKK-KL in THB, and KL-PER in MYR), came to AUD278, where as the same flights using this discount came to AUD279.

Not really a deal is it AirAsia :/

    P.S: no offense to OP

  • couldnt get perth to bali :(

  • Marvelous post. Managed to get a one way flight to Shanghai for cheap.

  • thanks OP, had been planning a trip to thailand for a while and this finally got me to pay for flights!

  • Thanks OP. I was going back and forward about going to Thailand. As soon as I saw the post and checked the price, I decided to go ahead with it. I got a ticket from KUL-SYD (Business Class) for only just AUD$350; that is very impressive. Thanks again for posting this.
