  • Worth paying the extra for the X89 range if you want the great iPad mini retina style screen though, it's really nice.

  • The X89 is cheaper here than the deal posted the other day which has 37 upvotes.

    • Well, I'm happy I forgot to buy it then!

      • Shipping time with Tinydeal can be a killer.

In the past I've had Banggood's products in half the time that it takes for Tinydeal shipping - 2 vs 4 weeks.

        YMMV.

        • They do offer DHL which might be well worth it for a purchase like this.

    • It might be worth noting that Banggood mention repackaging their tablets to be more robust for shipping.

  • +1

I've got this model coming so I'll review it when it arrives…

  • Windows 8.1 and hdmi. Does that mean when plugged into a monitor, I will be able to adjust the resolution?

    • I dont see why not, its basically a Windows PC

  • it is a great device for its price, really, shows how far the android and iOS would be caught up by WIndows once Win 10 native devices with core M and newer gen Atom are released later down the track.

I would get a 64GB version rather than a 32, cause really seriously 32GB is NOT ENOUGH for 2 OS

    • There's a few guides on youtube and XDA on how to remove either Windows or Android. I will be getting rid of Android when I get my X89.

Then there's a few guides on how to restore it if you change your mind, which I may need down the track.

32GB isn't great even with 1 OS, but it's cheaper to buy a 64GB class 10 SD card for a total of 96GB than it is to buy the 64GB models out of the box (but with a lower read/write speed than the internal eMMC).

    • Cheaper than my deal, good work OP. I'm using App2SD so all android apps are running off the 64gb SD card. Been using Netflix over the past week on it and it runs flawlessly.

I've also been connecting the AFL app stream to my 55" TV via HDMI. Takes a bit of fiddling to get the right resolution but its quite easy in the HDMI settings within Android.

Warning: If you are debloating the Android to rid of the Chinese apps, do not delete the "M" app. That's there to ensure the Dual Boot works.

  • the next generation ATOM X 357 series would be 1.5x to 2.5X the power of current Z37XX series
AND Intel is continue to make huge looses so people will buy these tablets at 30 to 50 cheaper than Android counter parts!
