  • Any idea what OS it uses

  • any idea what GPS software it's using? eg. igo?
are we able to load other gps software?

  • Pity it uses Sensis maps. Sensis maps tell me my house is 30km away from its actual, location. They also regularly seem to deny the existence of one-way streets.

  • it most likely uses iGo with a WinCE Backend.
Depending on the WinCE Backend and how much their "kiosk" based overlay interface restricts functions… sometimes its possible to load a different GPS software such as TOMTOM.

  • If you intend to load different GPS software on it I think it is better to order a cheaper, higher spec device from DealExtreme. Map software can be expensive.

If you want a unit pre loaded with local maps and you don't intend to change them, this is a good bargain.

  • NSW still have the motorbike gps still for sale reduced from 200 to 149 and holding. I know the VIC stores were selling them for $99 once.
