Not a good deal imo with just a single port.

Is a good deal imo with just a single port delivering the whole 65w

Both commens above have valid point, i wish it is single port at 65w but with smaller body.

I think this is designed more for laptops in mind. If you are specifically looking for a fast charger for your device, you will need one which supports the relevant fast charge protocols of your device.

    • +6

It USB-PD , the standard now. What device does not support it?

If you have an old laptop with proprietary connector, you can buy adapters on aliexpress for about $3 to use this charger.

      • there are lots of sub cats for usb pd. in this case its probs the different pps ranges certain devices require for their fastest charging. e.g. sfc 2.0 is only 45w but does not trigger on non-pps pd chargers (like laptop usb c chargers 65w/ 100w)

        • +1

Googling I see you refer to Samsung SuperFast charge and Programable Power supply.
I was not aware that was in the wild.
But these are not requirements. Samsung should work well enough with a standard USB-PD charger. Obviously this is not PPS.

Not bad given that 2m cables cost $20. At Kmart. I think the last one I purchased was max 100W. Wouldn't the cable in this package have to be at least 65W to not 'throttle' the 65W power rating?

For an additional $39 you can get the same brand with 2 extra ports, or for $59 you can get the same brand with 3 extra ports AND 100W.

It all probably equals out to something on par with a UGREEN offering (on sale), but less shiny and with unlimited availability (?) at the price point. Most likely Chinese-made, etc.

The only GaN charger I own is the Anker 323, which has two ports, and I got it for just under $20 (on sale), so hunt around for that first before taking the plunge on this.

    • is heymix brand any good?

      • +8

No, avoid Heymix at all costs.

        Here's why :

I have two heymix products that work fine…

Wonder if i should ever change em 🤣

One is a 8port powerboard with two type c fastcharge and two type a.

Another was just a gan charger …

I guess I'll never buy another heymix product though due to the ozbrg reputation of it being a 🔥

Wouldn't the cable in this package have to be at least 65W to not 'throttle' the 65W power rating?

I have bought 30w chargers that can't do 30w with included cable but can with higher quality cable. BUT it was heymix brand, which is very hated on this site, and may not be normal

  • lots of deals 65w for approx $20+ with more than one port, not sure why this is good

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/search/node/65W%20Gan%20USB-C%2…

    also as other mention
this is too big/long for just 1 port, could have shrunk that charger..

it is like those oversize belkin power boards

    • +2

      Yet you upvoted it?

    • Its gan1, so big

    • Theres only 2 or 3 for around $28 with no cable. Usb-c 2m cable alone is usually $15+

      • Usb-c 2m cable alone is usually $15+

        there's a 2 pack selling for $14
        https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B08J2HXYPH?smid=A3BJUU3…

not saying this is 100% a bad deal
        65W + usb c for $20 is not bad a deal..
just when others mention how long this charger is considering it has only one single port
it turns it into an okay deal..

  • +1

I'd personally pay the extra for this: https://amzn.asia/d/6gCEfgh

But it's not a bad deal

    • I’ve seen those things and they look perfect but why usb a in 2025? Give me 3 usb c or two high powered USB c

      • +1

Lots of proprietary charging cables are still usb-a, eg Garmin watches.

        • Yes but this charger has been out for years, time to refresh it and still have this one as an option. No point limiting it (except for cost reasons)

  • +1

If you need a charger with more than 1 port, this is not the charger for you. Nothing to see here

They fit fine in a standard power board or wall socket, they even have space between them when using them side by side.

There are 2 reasons for the size of the charger that I can think of:
    1. They are reusing the design of a 2 or more port charger, so minimal redesign for manufacture.
    2. 65 watts is still 65 watts whether you have 1, 2 or more outlets, it might not be possible to dissipate the heat in a smaller package.

    • +2

If you need a charger with more than 1 port, this is not the charger for you.

Glad you clarified this for me before I bought a 1 port charger to plug 2 things in at the same time.

    • Obviously more expensive but it is possible to dissipate the heat of 65W in a smaller package, even with 3 ports.

Anker USB C Charger (Nano II 65W GAN) $35.99

  • For a single port you're not saving any space at all.

  • +1

1c cheaper and with 3 ports

    https://amzn.asia/d/3TIYLsJ

  • How confident can I be that the other deals posted in the comment won't catch fire? (legit question, the known brands I have heard of seem to be more expensive but multiport offerings)

    • +3

I like your thinking. These trash brands are probably exactly the same as Amazon HAISYDSV or ebay junk but the difference is that Officeworks/Bunnings are 5000% more likely to run a recall if there an ongoing issue.

  • +1

Why is it called travel charger? I was expecting to see multiple sockets.

    • He he, exactly. Who would pack this into their luggage big ass charger and can only charge 1 device at a time?

      • +2

Someone who is going somewhere and only has one thing to charge at a time when they get there.

      • If your laptop needs the full 65w then it doesn't matter how many ports it has, it will use up all the 65w.

More ports obviously mean more versatility but for the guy with only a laptop, phone and earbuds/smartwatch, one port is probably enough for travel considering the price, with your laptop trickle charging the earbuds/smartwatch if needed. Charge the laptop when working, charge the phone at night. All for $20 with an included cable.

Any serious user should look elsewhere.

  • +2

I want more ports but not until they all support the same output.

For now I will grab a bunch of these and sleep easier knowing ALL my devices can receive up to 65w.

I do want to understand a bit more about voltages and protocols supported though.

100W and comes with a cable for only $39. It has 2xUSB-C and 1xUSB-A port. It fully supports all charging protocols, including PPS and is very small. It even charges my Google Pixel 9 Pro XL at full speed, which normally requires a special Google 45W charger. I can charge my Lenovo T14s laptop and Pixel phone at full speed at same time!

  • +1

    Grabbed one to try. Thanks.

  • Good price. But I think i'm going to buy this Novoo charger for $27.99 instead. Comes with 100w cable. The shape is much more "powerboard friendly".
