Little Snitch gives you control over your private outgoing data.

Track background activity
As soon as your computer connects to the Internet, applications often have permission to send any information wherever they need to. Little Snitch takes note of this activity and allows you to decide for yourself what happens with this data.

Control your network
Choose to allow or deny connections, or define a rule how to handle similar, future connection attempts. Little Snitch runs inconspicuously in the background and it can even detect network-related activity of viruses, more…

  • EPIIIIIC! I've been waiting for a deal on this for a couple of months now. Thank you for sharing. A massive +1 from me! =D

  • Purchased, thanks OP

    thanks. must have program

picked it up in last MacHeist 15$ bundle :)

if u have this you can pirate everything else, har har matey :):)

  • Funny that an application that is essentially used to allow pirating of other software is not only for sale but quite expensive.

    • I guess you're the sort of person that only uses torrents for downloading movies and guns to kill people…. these 'tools' have legitimate uses you know.

      • Be realistic, 99.99% of torrents are illegal movies or software. Or porn. do you really think people believe you're just downloading new Linux distributions?

      • what do guns have to do with this?
        or torrenting?
        whatever you smoking, dont lol

but seriously, judging by your comments you dont need this software lol

    • +1

This is still one of my must have programs, and I don't have anything pirated (these days) on my Mac.

    • Using this to pirate stuff is misusing it… but that's not the primary purpose. It is essentially very handy tool to control network traffic to and from your Mac. Add in the ability to do a "per process" packet capture makes it insanely useful. :) This + the OSX firewall should see you quite safe in untrusted (or even actively hostile) networks.

  • +1

Have to admit it was so overwhelming to begin with, I ended up not setting it up properly and not really using it to its potential.

  • Any realistic alternatives to this one apart from rolling up the sleeves and cranking up xcode?

  • Promotion is still active… timer reset and there is still 6 hours left
