    • They've actually added the ability to change your pin via online banking, I did it recently.

I've been in my new house for about 6 months now. I had a 30day settlement and all went pretty smoothly (10% deposit, valuation was fine). They initially sent out incorrect account details for my offset account (to my employer no less), but fortunately I caught it prior to payday.

This is exactly what I mean. They said they will tell me when it is possible to change your pin. They didn't. But yes you can now change your pin online. Thanks.

    • They taught me to say the keywords "backoffice transfer" when depositing cheques at the Westpac counter. Not that I deposit cheque often but the magic word works fine.

Been great for me. As long as you are a low risk, they will take you no problem. That's the only way they can offer such low margins. Finally a bit of white male upper middle class relief that's so sorely lacking in today's society…

Btw, you don't actually need a 20% deposit to get this rate… or maybe I'm such a low-risk they let it slide for me?

I am on this rate, and originally signed up when the rate was 4.48% with closer to a ~13% deposit about 6 months ago. Same features as everyone else with no/low fees and the rate keeps getting bumped down with the rate going down as well.

  • Been with them for a year and extremely happy with the rate and the service. I put rate first there as despite what the spruikers will tell you, rate is most important.
