      $2,6k for a superceded model?

      yeesh… gen3 is out

      i7-4600 is old

      • Don't ask me, I'm just a humble independent (power user) updating it before everyone starts making the inevitable comments.

        • +1

not having a go at you at all, just saying that their $2.6k is over the top for an old model

That price is a little bit crazy. You could get an MSI/Razer blade that has better hardware and also an ultrabook for that price

  • These come spyware free or do I need to pay extra for that?

I like lenovo but how can this be a deal?

      i got the same question

He has his L Plates on. :(

  • Could be first and last post for this rep if this is what they think OzBarginers call a deal.

  • yeeesh…. thats not a deal!

  • is the code an Affiliate code (reads like one)?

And this is the model that has the awfully poor intuitive keyboard. Gen 3 they got rid of it cos it was so bad.

I guess its $150 cheaper than the normal terrible price, but $150 off a $2849 computer is no real deal (around 5%).

  • Effectively false advertising to claim it is $500 off. New laws came into effect what 2013-14 stating if you jack your prices up to advertise a discount then the advertised discount is falsely advertised.

  • Lenovo is great but this is not a bargain

Lenovo don't offer bargains. And when they do, they cancel the orders.

No Ozbargainer would even look at a laptop over $2000

  • I bought my X1 carbon during a sale around march 2013 and paid 1080 including a second portable screen sure it was the low end spec but could never afford to update these days the prices are crazy as good as the laptops are price just isn't justified.
