  • Good one.

The real RRP is $170, but someone should tell Harvey Norman. Check out what RRP they want to fool their customers with… http://www.harveynorman.com.au/m/sony-playtv-preorder-specia…

    • Good job calling harvey norman out. Screw those guys.

  • Great stuff.

When checking out make sure to click the "Proceed to checkout" link on the right, NOT the 'Checkout with Paypal' link, otherwise you won't be able to get the 15 buck credit. Just use the pay with pay pal option through the checkout option.

  • Good price…..the main downside of PlayTv from most reports is it take ~30 seconds for th TV application to load (some have reported 40secs).

  • Offer combinations work. A nice deal, just not sure if I actually need it……yet.

  • Thanks for the tip. I cancelled my preorder with playfish and went with this D-Store offer instead. Playfish are telling me they wont have stock until the 9th. In the past i have ordered from playfish and had to wait up to two weeks for my order to arrive. Very happy you found this offer, means i will have PlayTv sometime next week instead of waiting until up to xmas and at a great price too.

    • Don't count on getting a pre-order from dstore in a timely fashion.
Last year I pre-ordered Guitar Hero World Tour Complete Band from dstore. They accepted my money and sent me an email saying that they would ship it on the release day. Day of release came, no guitar hero. Next day, no guitar hero. Only after I emailed them after 5pm on the third day did they mention that they had too many preorders and had not shipped my order on time. They gave a new delivery estimate. I thought, OK, and waited. Revised delivery day came, no guitar hero, no email from dstore. In the meantime dstore had a free shipping offer. I emailed again, but they refused to give me free shipping.
They did eventually ship the item (about 4 weeks after the release date).

  • I was all ready to grab the Play TV when it came out but with no (current) ability to get the recordings off the PS3 for files over 4GB (FAT32 limitation) it made me change my mind. But that's just me.

    • I thought 4gb limitation only applies to external hdd… the hdd installed in the ps3 is some kind of sony format isn't it?

      • Yep. That's why I said "off the PS3". Internal recordings are fine, but I am sure I will want to get some recordings onto a computer or DVD.

        • Get yourself a 1TB HDD and add it to your PS3, problem solved.

          • @bagachin: How does that solve the ability to record it to DVD or to the computer?
