But it charges $295 annual fee. There are better deals out there.

Ordinary interest rates, overpriced annual fee, is there a points system? This is a very ordinary looking card thus far

    Many better deals around

Not worth taking a hit on the credit report for no gain.

  • Is it first ever credit card by Macquaire bank?

    • Nope, I had one a few years ago from a previous ozb deal. They also run cards for third parties such as Jetstar.

    Spend $3.2k. Get $0.2k back.

Not much for the customer in this deal. Probably much more in it for the Macquarie CEO and his mates who are on ~$13.1m each…

Mr Moore's pay packet increased by almost 50 per cent this year to $13.1 million, making him the country's highest paid CEO

Nice first post OP, just not a great deal. The 40,000 Qantas points + Qantas Club passes for $99 was a great bargain. This one, really a bit lacking in net benefits, especially with what's on offer with other banks at the moment. Won't neg to be polite, but meh…

    • I didn't even notice the annual fee at the time. I wouldn't have posted if I did. I was in the hunt for a deal and when I saw it and got excited to have my first post haha

  • 10000 qff points with fee free AMEX seems better :)
