      Wtf? But it's $14!

      • +6

        $14

        $10 FTFY

  • +18

Bring back the $14 deal! DONT BUY UNLESS THEY BRING BACK THE $14 DEAL!

      • +1

        Lol calling for a $14 deal = +6 votes whereas calling for a $18/20 deal = -21 votes ….wtf

I guess DH now knows $14 as the magic number and we will never see $20 again

        • -3

Make that -27 atm, just shows how people really have no clue especially those shown above in the vote.

    • +11

There is no point trying to blackmail them, there is a reasonably good chance these threads get read and blackmail would just make anyone think "f@rk ya" after all their generosity.
      I would rather say;
"I would certainly appreciate and use the $15 vouchers, but wont use the $10 ones".
      Goes for Facebook too.

      • -3

you think they are doing this out of the goodness of their hearts???

The only reason they are doing this is that it is a marketing strategy nothing more. It's clearly evident when they first released $20 deals then they shocked people by going to $10 then upped that back up a bit but less than the original $20.

IF they are going to say "f@rk ya" as you put it then so be it, i would guarantee that offering nothing people wouldn't bother with them. Consumers need to realise that they actually have the power not the other way around.

As I mentioned before I have used the $20 vouchers but haven't touched the $14 as they are not worth it after all the costs an minimum spend.

      • I have to say as a marketing guy who acknowledges what promo is all about, both sides have their point. I would personally agree with King Tightarse more.
Even for promo's sake, they are bring tangible benefits to the public. So..we can request or decide whether to take the offer, but probably should not be grateful for freebie whatever the scale.

At last they have come to their senses and stopped discriminating against people that just want to use the Website to order.

    • +1

      haha good one.

    Wow only 12 up votes..

    You know what was "Tasty"?

The pork strips I bought from Woolworths, marinated in a lemon/salt liquid for two hours before slow cooking in the oven. Throw onto a burrito with lettuce, tomato, cheese and salsa. Saved myself at least $17 making it myself.

$10? Nah… not with the restaurants around my place. Sorry Delivery Hero. Was nice while it lasted.

    • +13

You mean… it's possible to create food without relying on a delivery service!?

    • Where is $17 coming from?
How much did it actually cost?
Do you perpetually keep burrito, lettuce, tomato, cheese and salsa in your home?
$10 discount is too little to save any money in my area too

      • +1

Well… my usual Chinese order through Delivery Hero is $32. You see… $32 minus $10 discount = $22. This is what I'd have to pay to get food from Delivery Hero. Minus the cost of $5 for various food products (I don't go by purchase price but by how much is consumed in a meal), hence the saving of $17. $22 minus $5 food cost equals $17. That's where the $17 comes from…

Also… Do you perpetually keep burrito, lettuce, tomato, cheese and salsa in your home? Yes actually!

Burritos store a LONG time in the cupboard so I buy them when on special for mexican/wraps. The lettuce/tomato/cheese comes in handy for salads and I buy salsa when on special for when I feel like mexican. Buy when it's on special and keep on hand. Save money that way!

Oh… the meal actually DID cost roughly $5 give or take a few cents. I had a few. Plus the pork was a little expensive but meh…

Can you do an AMA on how to live?
But really, nice one. I am part of what I assume is an ever growing group of people who don't do meals properly or cook much. Should start small with these magic burritos but seems so overwhelming buying all the ingredients and the commitment to use them all.

          @buttstuff:

Ultimate breakfast? Soak plain homebrand oats in milk for 20 minutes before eating them. Costs 15c a serve…

The key is, buy things you can use in lots of things and that are nutritious. I may not feel like a burrito one night, so I'll use the same ingredients to make a salad. Don't feel like a salad? I'll have a sandwich. Don't feel like a sandwich? I'll have a steak with mash potato with onion trimmings. The same onion I'd use in a salad.

My food budget is a maximum of $6 a day, I eat well, believe me. My next goal is saving $255 A WEEK on the pension so I can start investing in shares.

That is one allocation of shares per fortnight. 26 stocks per year bought… who knows, may get rich yet.

        • @kronicmacstigator: That's quite amazing, any chance you blog? :P

        • +2

@anastasiastarz: Actually interested in reading more about @kronicmacstigator 's life. Nutrition and finance tips presented in a very humble and modest way

        • @buttstuff:

Actually I was being a sarcastic prick when I wrote them.

I'm also shelling out $79 a fortnight right now for health insurance for some lifesaving surgery.

I'm such a tight arse I've actually been known to find $1 and $2 coins in my pockets just before washing my clothes (cold water only, 5c a wash vs 60c+ for a hot wash, only during the day so I use our solar panels and the sun to dry) without detergent unless actually dirty. No… they haven't fallen out of my wallet but actually been vacuumed off the ground by my butt.

Hell, I bought an Oral-B toothbrush so I can buy 20c heads from China for it. If I wanted… I have a factory who'll sell me 1000 packaged manual toothbrushes for $25AUD. I take saving to the extreme. But you wouldn't know it by looking at me.

    • +6

Sounds good, can you deliver it to me?.

      • Council would throw a fit!

It's good and simple food. Took just a few minutes to throw together. I find marinating my meat (HA!) in lemon juice before consumption tenderises it, works well on chicken. Not to mention it usually then comes out moist.

        • +1

Try cutting up onion finely, and tenderising it with onions on both sides for an hr or 2 in the fridge, then using the onion to make a sauce for the meat, it works alot better and doesnt add the lemon taste to the meat, it becomes a more meaty flavor as onion carries the meaty flavor after being cooked in the pans juices with abit of butter to finish it off.

I find lemon is much better with chicken than beef.

    • Did you save time cooking it yourself ?
That slow cook part sure sounds slow :P

      to access the Coupon

"Do you have a Coupon?" field.

  • +4

I'm assuming they're just trying to get their numbers up so they can sell it for a bundle, considering what that other company recently sold for
