Dunno how it compares on perfomance, but seems to be nearly exactly the same specs as the controversial Ainol miniPC.

    • this one does not have a screen but it does have a battery. I would call that not exactly the same specs as these 2 features are rather big.

      • Neither of them have screens…And both have batteries (albeit, of differing capacities)…

And yes, you can get this one with more storage space.

        • I stand corrected. The first post had 2 links, the first link is to something that has a screen but no battery, the second link is to one that has is similar. Sorry I got confused.

    • The 64GB storage will be a big benefit if you are thinking of installing Windows 10 on it.

  • Larger storage 64GB, a smaller battery capacity 2600mAh from Ainol mini PC

Are you saying you can't fit as much in ainol?

      • brilliant, simply brilliant :D

There’s also a 2600mAh battery (support watch video about 1.5 hours)

Which is a little bit useless. Those mini PC with batteries would be great to bring on the road if you need to do a demo or presentation and don't want to lug around a laptop. Go into the boardroom, pull it out from your pocket, connect to HDMI, etc. With 1.5 hours it would really limit how long the meetings / presentations are going to go (which might be a good thing).

  • Can this be used for streaming torrent?

  • I take it this comes with an unactivated trial version of Windows 8.1 ?
Or is the battery there so they can get a free version of "windows with bing"? If so, nice little loophole.

      Main Features:

Windows 8.1 with bing paid version.

Then again, it could be just the "Bing" part that's paid… It looks like a trade-off between Ainol's bigger battery and additional OTG port, and this device's 64 Gb storage - plus this one has a 1 day countdown, whereas the Ainol is showing 19 days…

      • Wow. Can I have the non-Windows one for a us$15 discount please?
Or is Microsoft up to their old trick of requiring payment for each unit sold, whatever the OS?

        • Or is Microsoft up to their old trick of requiring payment for each unit sold, whatever the OS?

No, Windows 8.1 with Bing is free to manufacturers. Look it up.

        • It was a slight dig at the Chinglish - when their population is ~1375 million tho, it's flattering they took the trouble to translate it that well:-P. It is still for the reading comprehension more worthwhiley pleasing and effective for the transmission than some of the Japanese horrors in the 70's

Yeah, sometimes. There are conditions, otherwise it is $15 ($25 license - $10 bing rebate) .
There are been some fuss over similar mini-PCs being shipped with unactivated versions.

          Look it up.
