  • Does David Jones do deliveries? :d

    • I was told if you are a DJ member they do free delivery.

  • $9.95 or complimentary for DJ cardholders.

    • How would I pay for it though? Just over the phone?

      • Yes, over the phone.

Buy something else worth $1, pay with two eligible AMEX and it's $320

$40 back for $200 spend David Jones online with Amex

    • Unavailable online. Happy to be proven wrong.

Not sure why it is fully automatic if you have to do the milk yourself.

    • Yes, you will have to froth the milk yourself with this one.

    • +7

It's a fully automatic espresso machine, not a fully automatic cappuccino machine.
Espresso doesn't have milk in it.

Why is there a milk frother on it if espresso is without milk? I know it is but still

        • +2

So you can still make a cappuccino

    • I don't think it has a sugar dispenser either :)

I agree it is a bit stupid calling it "fully automatic".
There are real fully automatic machines, typically coin operated. They drop a cup and fill it with something vaguely resembling cappuccino.

These are somewhere in between that, and doing it properly.

Just rang Highpoint. According to their computers, there's none in Victoria.

Drive to ACT and back? hehehe

  • David Jones staff will be hammered by calls today.

went in and seen my cousin at DJ's today in the home appliance dept. She's sick of calls about this and the kenwood mixer haha

      • Well did you drive there? :)

  • Can i get this delivered to Adelaide?

Have called up, no stock across WA.

8 stores in Eastern states have stocks but they didn't tell me which one though. Good luck for the hunt!

    • I enquired and there are 2 units at the Garden City store, I asked to put 1 on hold, but they couldn't guarantee the unit. Probably employees buying up the stock.

      • Yeah I rang the Parramatta store and they said they had 1 on hold (but the guy in Chatswood said your not allowed to put clearance items on hold)

Will this fit in my v8 range rover?

    • +1

perfectly, right alongside the golf clubs.

  • I'd be all over this if my old DeLonghi Magnifica EAM3400 wasn't still going strong after ~8 years (and if I could find stock).

  • No stock left in Woden

  • Anyone know where there's stock?

  • All sold out in NSW

  • Sold out Australia wide apparently.

Must be a huge markup on these machines. I'd be curious to know if sales are down since pod machines have come onto the market.

    • You would hope that they would rise. I have a 4 year old Delonghi magnifica (less than $500 delivered thanks to Amazon UK, now only available here via Amazon.de or amazon.it) and I tried a nespresso the other day for the first time - never again! It looks great with a nice crema but you can taste the difference between freshly ground and stale pod.

I've seen a few similar deals in DJ Perth City - espresso machines cut to 1/3rd of their normal price. Generally only one or two units of stock though.

Cheers OP. Just got one for $379 because they couldn't find the box for it out back, so they took off $20. Just a pity I couldn't use the Amex online offer of spend $200 and get $40 back. :-(

    • Which store was this?

      • +2

        Chermside / Brisbane.

  • OMPACT - 'Just one finger'.

Sold Out - "I'll give you the finger"

  • I bought a similar one from greys online many many years ago for around 350-400 … Think that was refurbished. Lasted many years. Not bad for price. I guess people are moving to those pod machines now

    • In the long run this is cheaper than nesspresso (even allowing for the popular compatible capsules) and lets you use fresh beans.
