+1 for putting back together ripped catalogue for the ozbargain community.

  • I wonder can it be used with Amex Card to get $10 back.

Doesn't matter what you buy, it works.

    • +2

Yep, used my fourth Amex card this evening to buy 50 cans of Feast, and received the "Congratulations….." e-mail soon after.

(The specials took effect from today here.)

      • I didn't get an email at all even after I spent $30 AMEX registered

        • I only received the confirmation email for one of my Amex

        • +2

Did you use paypass/paywave? Paypass/paywave is often processed offline without talking to the bank that issued the card and so amex don't actually know about it until it settles.

        • @madrooster:

No I use the Sim insert nothing with pin

      • Agreed - specials started today, or at least the Lipton Ice Tea did today.

    • Yep. It works. I used Amex card spent $48 at local Woolies, few hours after that I got email from AMEX that I will be getting $10 credit. Happy! Thanks TA!

Select Chunky Beef Pie 500g $2.45

Less than half the price, but now with less than half the glass. Not a bargain!!

    • +2

lol That would be the chicken and veg. The beefs not a bad dogs eye.

    Had to reconstruct the flyer.

    thanks but why? :)

    • +2

Great question. Pays to check Lasoo first I guess.

      • +5

TA didn't have to, but he was deeply disturbed seeing junk mail torn up like that.

Ocean house prawn range is $2.84 right now.. but going to be SPECIAL tomm. For $4.84 ?

    http://m.woolworthsonline.com.au/ProductDetails?Stockcode=79…

That's better than half price for woolies…

  • Will have to grab some Biozet. Choice rated it pretty highly.

  • In Melbourne, this catalogue specials run for normal week, not just weekends.

Also, online woolworths doing for 1 week i guess, as I bought on Wednesday 2 days ago all these were already that price.

@iDroid: Thanks. Easy to fall into their marketing terminology I'm afraid.

        • Sugar free
You don't have to pay for the sugar?

        • But there aren't any non-sweet ones - I take my tea without sugar (whether iced or not).

Also, what's the tea bag equivalent of this iced tea stuff - i.e. how amy teabags to you need to manufacture 1L of iced tea equivalent?

        • +4

@Its4me: I researched quite a bit and what you are looking for is cold brewed tea. I did this in the summer:

          1. Put some fresh tap water in a container or jar (mason jars work well). I measured this with cups.

          2. Then put in normal green tea teabags (or ANY tea, black, herbal etc) inside . I usually did 1 teabag per 2 cups but 1=1 is recommended if you like it medium/strong.

          3. Add herbs or fruits that you want to infuse for flavour. I often put in mint or lemongrass. Not required at all.

          4. You then close the lid with the strings hanging out.

          5. Put in the fridge for about 4-8 hours depending on how strong you like it. I did 6 hours for green tea.

          6. After that time, remove from fridge, discard the teabags and drink. Consume within 2 days and leave it in the fridge of course.

The only thing here is that it will be cold. This is perfect for summer. I just used to fill a whole bottle and enjoy it throughout the day.

Search cold brewing for more info. There is also sun brewing if you want it warm.

        • @fryandlaurie:

Thanks! Great idea. I usually drink all my tea black and without sugar. But there's no choice when it comes to the iced Lipton stuff.

  • Hi,
Thanks for posting this. Just wondering if anyone else had a problem with the Fancy Feast cat food deal as we had to speak to several people before the deal was put through manually! No catalogues in store either so we'd never have known about this deal without this post. Thanks again.

  • 384 cans of fancy feast purchased! Woo! just as I was saying I hope there is a fancy feast sale soon!

    • +1

      You must be hungry!

      • Its for her Nanna.

        • +1

Nah it's yum on toast. I mean who would love chicken feast in gravy on warm toast in winter?

        • @icyprincess: lol, sounds fancy :)

  • These grocers make profit on sales & even 80% mark-downs.

They're evil & should be regulated as fuel is.

    Imho

    • yeah, im sure you will sell or provide everything at cost price if you have a business.

let the ozbargainer know when you decide to do so cheers.

      Imho

      • Grocers are under scrutiny constantly- it isn't just me. Where have you been? The mark-up is insane for grocer to end-user, yet farmers are in poverty— this is what I was hoping to impart- or that people here might

Really crazy @juventino jumps up to protect the grocer-barons…

        • +1

for fresh produce, perhaps. But for the rest of the products (which amounts to 80% of the stocks), the mark up isn't as high as you expect. especially after taking account into all the wages and rental. Some products might even be loss leaders to get people to come in

    • I'm sure some of the deals are loss leaders to entice shoppers and fill up the shopping basket with other items :)

  • I added some Fancy Feast to my cart, but when I logged in the price went from $0.60 to $1.27.

I saw on the flyer it says VIC only - anyone else outside VIC having difficulties getting these prices?

    • It looks to be state-specific. I'm in the ACT, which Woolies (and just about everyone else) lumps with NSW, and Feast is on special here.

But if you look at the Red Spot Special catalogue for WA, it's different (and no Feast). Looks like your cat will have to go hungry.

      • My deal from yesterday is suddenly more awesome as they manually put through the Fancy Feast and I'm in SA! Yay!

  • Qld brochure states 6-9th June
