Inspired by the '$27 All You Can Eat Pork Ribs' post.. I wondered if bottomless chicken wings would be well received by Sydneysider OzBargainers. Known about this one for a short while, but haven't been to check it out myself :P

Here's one brief online review with a pic of the wings you shall receive (edit- on second thoughts, perhaps that isn't a photo of The Bat & Ball hot wings? and rather is just a generic photo? hmm).

And another, more detailed review here, albeit with a less flattering photo of the chicken, to give you a better idea of what the wings/batter/sauce is like (if you're concerned about how 'hot' these hot wings are), and the general pub atmosphere.

You have between 5 - 9 PM to eat as many wings as you like. Enjoy.

    Not neg this but I could buy 1 kg of chicken wings and some sauce, then cook them for less. I can't eat 1 kg of wings anyway.

      Had a mate whose favourite part was the parson's nose, he used to think it was hilarious biting into "this gorgeous piece of ass". I can barely eat a prawn if I'm not 100% sure it's been de-poopchuted.

          @waterlogged turnip: My 75 year old mum got pushed so hard on Cleveland on night that she got knocked down and her glasses came off. I know a bloke who was bashed and robbed on Redfern St too. Having said that the combined time living in Redfern for these people is about 7 years. You do have to be careful there at night at times but it's not as bad as it was some years ago

    something SIMILAR in Adelaide at Curious Squire… 50c buffalo wings 7pm onwards every Wednesday night. Had some last night and they were tasty (a big thing for me, as i have never had chicken off the bone before - was a no-no for me my whole life)

      Oh you know Sydney addresses, they're carefree and spontaneous!

      Their pub address is "495 CLEVELAND ST REDFERN", but they've cleverly worked in the 'literally across the road from Moore Park' part into the name of their bar Parkside, I suppose :)

      I'm completely unfamiliar with the area despite going to countless gigs at Moore Park, and attending USYD main campus for 6 months.. all I can say is hooray for smartphones and online maps or I'd be doomed. Forever a tourist in my own city.

    Is the northbridge hotel still doing the hot wings challenge? All you can eat ring burners (I got to 6, record was 13 last I heard) for free and a prize if you come first on the night (200 bar tab)

        Yeah 3 years ago I think, but I know it ran for a year at least. They were seriously deadly, people running from the table once they broke down

          @Scrooge McDuck: I asked the guy to show me, they said it was a jar of stuff they get imported from America, couldn't remember necessarily seeing what it was called but they assured me it's the hotter stuff (was ground) in the world. They said that they tried to be quite consistent because if they mixed too much in it could be bad.

          On a similar note as I have a reputation among friends for Chilli tolerance, a mate got me this bottle of “dumb ass” Chilli sauce (also imported from the US). it was mistaken for tabasco one night and an entire large pot of soup was rendered inedible, in fact I ate 3 times from it, but it was extremely hard going, and I couldn't eat much in a sitting. No one else went near it, and in the end more than half the pot got chucked. That was from less than the neck of the bottle. I still have that if you want to track some down I could find out for you.
