    Pardon my ignorance… but how can they call it a stereo system, when there's only one speaker?

    For the price (and its bizarre look), I better be able to stick it on the roof and get satellite Foxtel!

      2 x 3” midrange 2 x ¾” tweeters

      technically its not one 'speaker' its multiple speakers behind whatever that front screen is so technically it could be playing the left and right channels out each of the midrange/tweeter combos separately (but obviously only with about 60cm of separation)

    The A9 is not for everyone. The price is a good $400-$500 cheaper than any B&O store will offer. If you are in the market for an A9 it's a huge bargain! The A9, like most B&O products are about sound AND style. It may not be your style, but style nonetheless.

    This is a pretty amazing speaker. RRP of $2990 is scary, but I got mine at a great price.

    Unique look, you can also wall mount these, comes with about a 3 meter cable so you can place it where you want, can also connect a network cable into your home network or just use wifi.

    I use mine with wifi only. It's great with Spotify, you select a playlist, or radio station and the A9 does the rest. It also steams AirPlay so all music apps on your phone will work. You can even use it at a party and have guest pick their own music. Strangely you can control the speaker when your not even home.

    I use mine on a daily basis, we entertain a bit so it's always on, get plenty of comments on it, we have a custom cover and everyone comes up to touch it.

    There are plenty of other cheaper options out there, but you pay for style and quality.

      You pay for style and quality, then you pay some more for the over engineering, pay some more for the name, and some more for the prestige. In the end you rationalise it by telling yourself you deserve it, because you are a hard worker/make sacrifices elsewhere, or you earn enough because you are especially gifted, or maybe even because you are going to get 10 years of use out of it and its worth a few cents a day at that rate. Mostly because it makes you feel better. In the end the feeling wears off pretty quick, and you are no happier than if you got a great 1000 dollar speaker. It's the same with most things really
