Include postage cost in title. It looks very much like this one on eBay which is AU $8.08 delivered
    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Powered-USB-3-0-4-Port-SuperSpeed…

    • Except the one you linked is USB 3.0, this one is 3.1, the new standard above the one you linked. So entirely different.

      • OK. I see. Although it is only a USB 3.1 connection - the 4 ports are still USB 3.0. Cheapest of these I can see on eBay are AU $13.99 delivered

      • as syba said

the 4 ports are still USB 3.0

so there really isn't a point for the USB 3.1 connector. this is essentially just a USB 3.0 hub. pointless to get this if there are cheaper options. unless of course your only port is a USB 3.1 type C. in any case, you can get an adapter anyway.

    • as cheese510 commented, they has different usb port.

      • do these work with standard usb 3 ports?

        getting a bit confused

        • +1

it is USB 3.1 Type-C USB Male to USB 3.0 A Male Cable Adapter, connect USB 3.0 devices with new design USB 3.1 Type-C port.

  • -4

So about $14.66 AUD posted (corrected)

If I was in the market, I'd kinda prefer something like this for about $13.86. Just a more convenient form factor

Edit Neg due this device being cheaper, better form factor

    • +3

Bit harsh. Personally I think that's ugly as crap and would prefer the one in the op.

      • -6

How is it harsh? The OP isn't the cheapest price around, and as to the design, if you had (like shown on the pic) something like the memory card reader, you'd be wasting ports on the OPs hub.

        • +1

Your points about form factor are valid. It's worth contributing your post so that people can make an informed decision.

However, it's a different (albeit extremely similar) product. This invalidates price comparison. And personal preference can't be used to justify a neg.

          PS: I didn't neg you.

        • +1

How about finding the same USB hub listed at a cheaper price otherwise your neg vote is not valid.

        • +1

          cheapest price around

Link for a cheaper price on the particular product?

Alternatives, better or not, have never been a justifiable neg.

        • @justtoreply:

          100% agree.

    • +1

      Geez, harsh.

    • Ah I love it, everyone bagging on me for saying it's a non deal, but noone upvoting the deal!

      Love it!

      • +1

Not being bad doesn't mean it's good :) Either it's ordinary, or people just don't care about the product. Personally, I'm in the don't care camp.

        PS: Always liked your username.

  • +1

I can see a bunch of macbook owners lining up to get their hands on a stack of these LOL

    • +1

I'm pretty sure they'll be forced to fork over $100 or so for the official one, since it's the only way they'd be able to charge at the same time.

  • +1

you truely want to have powered usb3.0 hubs with 4 ports, because you will generally have alot slower transfer rates if you run 2-4 devices off them.

  • +1

maybe some ozbargainers don't know what is USB 3.1 Type-C new trend yet,
here are some sources from CNET and wiki about it,
    http://www.cnet.com/news/usb-type-c-one-cable-to-connect-the…
    http://www.usb.org/developers/usbtypec/

More likely we just don't CARE yet because it's just too new for there to be much in the way of bargains. But thanks for the information.
