    Should mention it's refurbished.

    • Thanks.

  • is this good one? maybe upgrading my unisurf 8"

  • I got a t100. I'm stoked with purchase. Runs full offices and all programs I've chucked at it. Ive got a SP3 as well. I probably only needed the t100, its done everything and pretty snappy.

    • wow good review. too bad cant use amex and get further discount

  • How does it go playing higher bit rate H265?

  • Anyone received theirs yet? How is the unit's condition?

    • Got mine today.. the keyboard disconnects whenever I have it at full tilt.. checking if updates help.. but the rest of the unit is in good condition..

      • Mine arrived and although not in it's original box it's in great condition, when I insert a micro sd it will only only recognize a 32gb and no higher does anyone know if this is the max card supported?

      • hi Raif, can you please update when you found a solution? Do you think your unit is faulty or something?

          Hi Sky Blue,

Definitely a fault, the keyboard wouldn't even work in bios if I had the screen fully extended. I looked online for ages but couldn't find anyone with the same problem.. plenty of issues with keyboards, but not the one I had.. My keyboard disconnecting was just so specific.

OO.com.au handled it very professionally - picked it up on Monday, and I'm just waiting for them to send out another one; I can keep you updated when this arrives..?

        • @Raif: Thank you for your reply. It's good to know OO is able to promptly attend to warranty issues. I have not actually opened mine (still in the black wrapper) because it's a gift for someone else. Please do update on the condition when you receive the second one, or if you experience any other issue.

@sky blu: So, the second one came last Friday; it's so far working faultlessly and I'm very happy with it - so problem solved, and I continue to be pleased with oo.com.au :)

        • @Raif: hi Raif, good to hear yours is working well. I bought it for Dad, and I asked him to give me some feedback after more than a week's use. He said the screen/tablet opens to a certain angle (when docked with the keyboard) which he finds it uncomfortable to use properly. He said he has to slouch to read the screen. Also he finds the machine isn't very snappy. He uses the pre-installed IE and he said it takes a while to load the (news) pages. Do you find similar issues with this Asus T100? For an Atom core with 2GB of RAM I reckon it shouldn't be too bad but I haven't found the time to play around myself. What are your thoughts? (or anyone who also bought this unit)

          Thanks in advance.

        • @sky blu: I find the keyboard angle to be perfect; I can use it on my desk or on my lap. At my desk, the T100 tends to get more use as a tablet only though. I'm 6 foot tall; I feel this angle could be awkward for lap use if I was any taller. The slight decrease in angle I had to use in my first unit to stop disconnection from the keyboard was very uncomfortable. I guess I feel a lot of variables could influence comfort here but for me it works as well as any other laptop I've used.

IE just loaded news.com.au in 7 seconds from the desktop and seems slightly quicker from the metro screen but around the same time. For me it's exactly as fast as I need it to be, I predominantly wanted it for brief usage when checking mail/web on the fly, taking notes on articles and to use as a PDF reader that I could make notes in. Definitely feels more responsive than my HP Touchpad. I have a 1200 page Text that runs great on this tablet but it was sluggish on my HP. I feel that there may be a problem with your dad's T100 if he is finding it any slower than this.. Is it fully updated? I literally had to spend a day updating the T100 on arrival (Update-Wait-Restart).. and it seems very happy since the updates..

        • @Raif: I see. I was told the unit spent the whole day for updates just last week, so we will see if it improves user experience. As for the screen angle, I think my Dad just have to get used to it I guess. Thanks a lot of your input, Raif!
