Xiaomi Mi Band Replacement Leather Strap (Tracker Not Included) ~AU $10 Delivered @ GearBest

200

I picked up one of these bargain sports trackers a while back thanks to OZB but my first strap broke and I got another one which also seems to be on the way out. The stock rubber strap isn't very secure especially in winter when my jacket sleeve keeps knocking the band free without me noticing.

Found this while looking for a better replacement strap. Yes its annoying that it has to be screwed in but my band only needs charging every 35-40 days so its OK.

These seem to be going for around US$18 on ebay right now. Thought it was a good deal so decided to give it a try.

NOTE: This is an aftermarket strap. Not a Genuine XIAOMI product.

  • For those that want the original plastic band I have only found one place that I can be sure is genuine (reddit reviews):

    http://www.banggood.com/Original-Colorful-Xiaomi-Miband-Brac…

Sadly only green and pink are in stock right now.

  • This is not the genuine one produced from xiaomi. I just a 3rd strap looks like the genuine one.

    • have added a note to the description above.

    • Still a notably better price than the same thing from the usual suspects (ebay, aliexpress, et al).

Thanks, OP, I've been thinking about something better than the original Mi strap.

  • Might want to note that it's PU leather, so not "real" real leather (as per the comments and replies on the page)

Thanks OP the rubber loop thingy on mine just broke to. Fingers crossed I don't lose it before this new one arrives:).

    • I wouldn't risk losing it. Same thing happened to mine, luckily i have found it both times. It's now at home until the new strap arrives, and now I've ordered this one too.

    • I lost my unit. Fell out of an aftermarket band.

  • I would not attest to leather being very resistant, so be aware of this before you go into the shower with it.

  • Thanks, been looking for one of these for a good price. The rubber black band that comes with it is starting to fall apart with mine.

  • Just a question for those who have had their original band break/fall apart, how long have you been using it for? And what sort of usage?
I've had mine for 2 months, and have barely taken it off in that time.. seems to be still going strong.
Just wanting to get an indication on how long it will keep before I need to get a new band.

    • My first one broke after about 3 months. I used it roughly though, took showers with it, went swimming, used it in the sun during hot summer. It started cracking and falling apart, the loop went first but after another month the band became brittle probably due to water / sun damage.

  • On my 1st band i would pop the unit out of the band when sitting around and i was always keeping it at high charge.. It then began to get really flimsy and fall out easily as it split the plastic.

On my 2nd band now and i don't remove it, and i will only remove it every month.

Been going for much longer now, atleast on my 4th month.. BUT as of recent when working on the car etc(this probably isnt a good thing to do with the mi band on) ive noticed it falling out, but this could be just the pressures of using it in the wrong kind of activity.

  • I lost my first mi band after ~20 days with original strap.. now I am using the second one with an aftermarket "leather" strap for ~$20 similar to this one for 2 months. and it's more secure for sure. for this price I am tempting to buy another one…

  • Cheers guys…

  • Has anyone received theirs?

I've received mine a week or two ago.

      • Thanks.
