I was looking at these on Dicksmiths online store for $42, and then noticed that their ebay store had them for $28 with in-store pickup. Otherwise its about $7 delivery which is still less than the standard price. Ill be dropping by on Sunday to collect the one I just bought for my sons birthday.

These look like rebranded CX-10 quads that are always cheap from China.

    I wonder how they compare.

    • I got one of these from a previous deal for $18AU shipped.

It took about 3 weeks to arrive but is an awesome little quadcopter. Its really stable and flys very well. I would definitely recommend it.

The Eachine H8 is another great quad. Faster, larger, and cheaper too.

        • Love the H8 I ordered from this deal
Ordered another + spare propellers & batteries

        • @litoria: I bought 10 spare sets of props, and I haven't had to use any of them. Either my skills have improved dramatically, or they're ultra reliable. I highly recommend getting a quality 240mAh lipo and zip tying it to the bottom if you want longer flight time. I even went one step further and dremeled the battery cage off so it would sit closer to the props.

I agree, although I only got mine yesterday haha. Flys awesomely.

Note - the $18 china ones have barriers around the blades. Bounces off walls, off the roof, lands upside down etc without even touching the blades. doesn't look like the DickSmith ones have it though..

        • They can also fly with larger lipos zip tied to the bottom. I use a 240mah battery on mine.

    • Im pretty sure you're right, appears to be the same as cx-10. Ive tried quite a few small copters but so many of them have failed within an hour or even straight out of the box that I thought I would get one of these from a local store and test it before handing it over as a present in case it died like so many others.
My son picks up flying these things really easily so I thought that once he gets the hang of this one I'll get him a proper transmitter and some cheap copters to play with and crash. Does anyone have any recommendations of a good BNF small copter that is cheap, reliable and binds to other transmitters?

  • Gearbest do have the cx-10 for $15

But obviously no way to return if it doesnt work and a longer wait than in store pickup.

  • They are $32 delivered from superandcheaper at Silverwater who also sell them as a lot of 4 for $110 with free shippin. If you turned up there and offered cash, they would likely deal, I did that with a Cheerson CX30C (I got it for $60) They don't have a store front, but they sell from their office/warehouse.

  • The CX-10 and its clones are no longer the smallest. These just came out.
