What is the market for this kind of camera?

It's too high quality/expensive for basic Skype/Video Phone functionality and it's too low quality and limited use for professional productions (a youtube comedian or whatever).

      www.cams.com? (yeahhh that's pretty NSFW.)

After recently doing research on webcams, I must agree with you. The c920 is often noted as being more applicable for private use.
However, if individuals were interested in buying the c903e, this is a great deal.

meh. I don't know. We have 2 of the model that was before it. The C920. Managed to snag them at the time for $69 delivered. But their retail was up near this price $129. Fantastic for talking to family overseas almost daily. One in both countries.

      • sorry. to be clear I am saying that the C920 is awesome. I'd only imagine what OP posted is even better.
Price wise I've never seen the C930e this cheap. If it is half as good as the C920 - it'd be an awesome cam.

"We have 2 of the model that was before it. The C920."

Actually it isn't the model before. They are in different markets. The C920 is best camera for one or two persons in front of the camera, where as the C930(e) is the best for many people in front of the camera (it has a much wider lens).

        • Interesting. Combined with what you and XeKToReX says it's for video conferencing for groups at a conference table/board room. That is a very specific market.

    • Certified for Microsoft Lync, would be a good camera for people who do a lot of remote video conferencing for work.

    • Even more than the official store.

    • I've started to see a number of these type of listings - eg http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Brand-New-Microsoft-Surface-Pro-3… which is over $3000, but assuming it's actually the top of the line i7 (and not i5 as they state), the local store price would only be about $2300 now (on sale from MS store), or $2700 standard everyday price.

And then you see the description saying Brisbane seller with AUstralian warranty, but supposedly being shipped from HK.

All in all - Ebay is becoming a place to skip, or at least only visit after you've done your homework.
