WINTERSOUP

Just found out from a friend that they have another special for this awesome blender, even better price than before.
It was $100 off last time, this time its $150 off.

Been using this pretty much every day for the past year or so, hasn't missed a beat, blends are quite even probably due to the high power motor in the unit.

You can check out my review in my old thread:

  • this knock-off is cheaper - http://www.closethedeal.com.au/index.php/appliances/small-ki…

It was on ozbargain for $99 awhile ago.

    • Its cheaper, but is it same or better quality?
Also warranty would be a worry.

This one is made by JTC which is made in Taiwan.

      • So what's the deal, has JTC dropped the Omniblend name then? Because that's who makes the Omni, which was originally sold as low as $210 AUD shipped… (although it's been at $300 for near 2 years now)
Is it finally being upped in price to now $400! and renamed?

        :/

      • Looks the same as omniblend, which is also JTC, but cheaper (before discount). Slightly more expensive when taking discount into consideration but has 5yr warranty.

        • That's true about the warranty. However they do have a pretty cheap replacement plan e.g. they will repair it for cheap if its outside of warranty. Would be keen to know what is Omniblend's repair cost if it was out of warranty, I know some companies charge an arm and a leg so it is cheaper just to buy a new one.

Haven't had any issues with mine though, no cogs or machinery has broken down yet (touch wood) and I've used it pretty roughly.

        • +1

          @lplau:

I'm a bit suss on that short warranty/ cheap repair arrangement. Will they still charge the same in 4 yrs time? I doubt it.

The $25 mentioned seems to have gone up judging by current website. And no mention of $75 cap either

"Common wear and tear parts such as the driver socket will be replaced for a nominal fee of $49 with free shipping after warranty ends."

        • @watts: ah they must have changed it.

I'm gonna email them to see what's the deal.

  • Would recommend the Omniblend with 1.5L jug instead - I'm entering my third year, it's a beast.

  • The commercial blenders are all pretty similar in terms of capability. Aldi also sells them occasionally for $99 so you know the cost price of these things are a lot lower than the $249 that they try to flog it. I bought a China made OEM off aliexpress and an Aldi one close to 2 years back and both are still going strong and virtually indistinguishable.
