EB Games are having a Wacky Wednesday sale this Wednesday, following on from their Mad Monday the other day.

  • Prices are in store and online as well
  • A new Edge Plus card will be launched on Wednesday offering 15% discount on pre-owned and 15% increase on trades
  • Edge Plus costs $29.95 and comes with a 12 month game magazine subscription
  • The old Edge card will not be available for sale from 16/12/09

Mad Monday had some good deals (eg. Fifa 08 for PS3 $10) so I'm hoping wacky Wednesday also delivers the goods.

    I'm going to go out on a limb and give this a pre-emptive plus, only because I picked up a couple of christmas presents on the mad monday.

    I am doubtful about this one. Can't see it being anywhere near as good as Mad Monday, only because the sale is going to be in store aswell.

    I am planning on buying a PS3 tomorrow - I was looking at the Play TV 250gb bundle with two games at EB - I'm hoping they'll make it even better value tomorrow.

    I would like to see the older PS3 games going for cheap, but they are always so hard to find! On the Mad Monday sale, they had FIFA 08 for $10, so I grabbed that one, but that's all I grabbed.

    I have something like 25 Xbox 360 games, which I mostly bought for between $10-$20 each. It's much harder to find PS3 games in this price range!

    (In case you're wondering, I like to collect games - even if they're not really that good. I don't even play them, they just get added to the collection. It's my own sad little hobby).

    UFC is platinum now, hence you can get for around $50 everywhere now. And it is in stores for $55 right now anyway.

        My edge won't expire till July 2010…so what happend after 16 Dec 09? Do I still get 10% or 15% just like new edge?

          Oh sorry I mean $10. Mine was free coz I bought a lot of items from EB at the time and they gave it to me for free.

          Yea all EDGE 2009 cards expire 31/12/2010, unless otherwise shown on your card. ie. if you got yours on the 1/11/2009, it will expire on the 1/11/2010.

          They have stopped selling the EDGE2009 cards now

        $99 Guitar Hero 5 isn't too bad. It usually doesn't get the lower price like the PS and XBox versions do. When I looked at it on the weekend it was $159.

    The rock band bundle isn't showing up as a wacky wednesday deal on the site. Search for Rock Band and you will find it. I just bought it. Postage was $6.43 for express. Pretty happy with that. I thought the sale wasn't supposed to start until 8am though…

    Just picked up the Rock Band Instrument Pack + AC/DC for Xbox 360. Awesome deal. It says that it includes "1 x Wireless Guitar", but I thought that the Rock Band guitar for 360 was wired? Is it a typo?

    There are a few good older games for $30. For example, if you havent got Prince of Persia you should buy it right now. And I know no-one will agree with this, but Fracture is a good game! I'd pay $30 for it!

    Lips bundle at $34 is a great price. Includes two wireless mics ($50 each if you buy the MS branded one, which is identical to the ones in the bundle). I just checked compatibility and these work with GH:Metallica and GH5 and RB2 and Beatles:RB. But not earlier titles.

    $99 for DJ Hero also the best price going.
