  • Damnit, booked a hotel with the 15% off a few weeks ago, I've never ever seen a 20% code worldwide :O

      This is awesome, thanks!
I was chatting with their live chat yesterday afternoon who told me no codes would be released for the next few weeks. Talk about trying to pressure me into booking!

  • Fantastic!!! got 20% off plus 1 night free for my stay in HKG next year!!!!

    • How did you get 1 night free?

      • My guess is via HotelClub credits "Hotel deals and every booking earns credit for next booking" See Travel forum

      • Sorry, I was wrong, but I got better price for HKG at the Hotel I wanted anyway.

yes, i've been waiting for a hotelclub deal!
    Thanks OP!

Nice, time to book hotels in the US for my trip in October. Any recommendations for reasonable hotels in San Fran?

    • We usually go with a random 4* on Howire.com in either Fisherman's Wharf or Union Square regions, assuming the price is right. They're the two must see locations for first timers. A 'boutique' hotel means your room will be approx 2m square. I would avoid those unless you enjoy small spaces.

    • I stayed at Holiday Inn Express fisherman Wharf in 2013, walking distance to the wharf to catch the boat to Alkatraz, walking distance to heaps of restaurants and Lombard St.

        ^ so did we :-)

        • There were lots of Aussies around when we were there. must be a favourite :-)

When i search Hawaii Hotels the discount code is only available on hotels that are marked PROMO CODE ELIGIBLE. Discount code doesn't work on all hotels

  • I am having trouble locating the T & C's.

    doesnt work on Hilton Chain

    • Never worked for any hotel I stay in.

  • Will this stack with cashrewards?

Edit: Is the currency in AUD?

    • Yep

      • Is that yep to both queries?

        • +2

          yep to both

I just looked at Quay West in Melbourne. Prices on Booking.com are cheaper than HotelClub even with the discount.. unless the 7% cash rewards work!

    • +2

@djevoultion; Don't forget that you get $12 rebate on Cashrewards for Booking.com bookings too!

      • Oh I didn't know that. Thanks for letting me know.

      • they also price match after you've booked (before check in). I'm not sure whether this will affect your cash back as it may be "partially refunded" so dunno if it'll go through. I've emailed them but yet to hear back.

  • Looking for deals in New york but hotel club seems to be more than 20% more expensive so no deal for me. :(

    • Me too…a few nights is as expensive as the flight! I think the Park Central is cheaper overall than I can find anywhere else. It's coming in at a total for five nights at the same price as a 2 star on Hotelscombined. Let me know if you find any bargains. Try Priceline bidding if there are only two of you. We can't use it as we are travelling as a family and need the two beds :-/
The rates on the first screen do look 20% more than others but click through to the screen where all of the discounts are applied and you might be pleasantly surprised, the Park Central ends up being $361 all in a night (including 7% cash rewards). While that is a lot, it's pretty cheap for midtown NYC.

I booked a NY 4star hotel that also had a 25% off for 7 night minimum stay (NYLO)
The 25% promo stacked with the 20% off! So keep an eye out for hotels that also give that special (the special was called "International Savings")

My booking was for October and the numbers ended up reading like this:
      Hotel (9 nights)
      2 guests
      $459.60 avg/night $4136.43

      International Savings
      Save 25%, 7 night min -$1034.10

      Promo code applied -$620.47

      Taxes and fees $470.24

      Total Trip cost $2952.10

  • Good deal for some, but make sure you do your research, I booked 8 nights in Koh Samui for Nov 15 today and I found a deal $500 cheaper than Hotels.com with the 20% discount, it pays to shop around!

  • Where do you put the promo code? Tried 2 different hotels and can't see anywhere in the booking area to get the discount

    • You have to insert the code before searching for hotels, under dates and locations. After that you have to choose hotels with the "promo code eligible" ad under the price.

      • Thanks! Don't think any of mine are eligible

  • Just booked our Disneyland accommodation for next March.
just so happens that one of the hotels we were looking at were eligible.

    Cheers,

Out of interest which one did you book? I looked at a few as Im heading there in late Oct and ended up going with redlion in anaheim. The discount certainly wasnt 20% - qantas had a very similar aud price.

        Anaheim Camelot Inn & Suites
we stayed at the Howard Johnsons in 2013 and it was okay, but nothing special.
We walked by the camelot Inn and it seemed nice and the reviews were decent. We're really NOT hotel snobs, as long as the beds are clean and the doors lock, we will choose location over other things, and this hotel has great location.

        • +1

Thanks - similar pricing at the property for the dates Im looking at and right across the street and agree with the above - location is everything (and a clean bed!)

  • So many not "eligible"

  • Hotels.com worked out cheaper for me after I applied the $50 off promo code from an earlier deal which is still valid.

  • I rang the hotel I wanted to book with direct and they matched the Hotelclub discounted price.

    • There's little value in that considering Hotelclub will give you member rewards plus cashrewards also stacks.

      • If anything goes wrong with the booking or the stay then you deal with the hotel direct rather than having to contact Hotelclub. To me that's better than the $10 in credit I would accrued from Hotelclub.

        • I did a booking going to HC via cashrewards a week ago and it appears as though cashrewards has failed to track the transaction. If so, then I lose $30.

        • @peck: meanwhile cashrewards made $30+

        • @muncan: Yes I know what u mean, however, if it doesn't show up on my tracked transactions soon, then I will cancel the booking at HC and rebook elsewhere.

        • @peck:
Rewards may take 7 days to be credited to your account. You will receive an email to advise your rewards are pending and awaiting confirmation.

          Special Terms
          Important:
Rewards may not be available until 90 days after the completion of travel.

I did the booking last Friday, I will let you know then.

        • @Colombian: Thanks. I would be interested to know how long before it goes onto your list of tracked/pending payment transactions.

        • @Colombian: I made a booking with booking.com yesterday, and it is already listed at cashrewards as being tracked. But, after 1 week, my HC booking is still not listed as having been tracked :(( My finger is hovering over the cancel reservation button!

        • @peck: Just got my email from cash rewards saying that my shopping with Hotel Club is being tracked.

        • @Colombian: Tks muchly. How many days was that between your booking and that advice? I get booking.com advice within one day. OOps! I just got the tracking notification email too. (11 days, but relieved, no more messing around with that booking)

        • @peck: Mine took 11 days too.

  • Hey does anyone know if this website charges your method of payment in AUD? I don't want to get slapped with a 3% international transaction fee by CBA…

    • I used an Westpac AMEX and confirmed was charged the same AUD amount quoted on the website (plus a separate $2 charge, assume that's a temporary test charge).

  • Has this deal expired as I cant see any discounted prices anymore

    • It is no longer working on a hotel/dates that it was working for 5 days ago, and so it seems to have expired.

  • Refer to the original post, deal was only valid for a week

  • Code didn't work for me

    • Book at least 1 night at a participating hotel in Australian dollars by 11:59PM on 25 July 2015

      • It says Voucher Max limit reached

        • yep! "SORRY. MAXIMUM LIMIT OF PROMO CODES REACHED". Time to mark the deal as 'EXPIRED'.
