  • Do these work with any non-Toshiba TVs/Projectors?

    • I would say being active 3D they will only work with active 3D sets. For example can't be used with a passive 3D TV sets/projector.

  • Active 3D must have been a bit of a flop if the glasses have been slashed to $5.50.

Any idea if these will work with my Panasonic 3d?

    • The question is your TV active or passive 3D?.

    • Panasonic PDP is active 3D, and Panasonic LED is passive 3D.

The easiest way to find out you are using passive 3D or active 3D is just to check how many glasses you got when you bought the TV.

Active 3D glasses is more expensive, so almost all vendors they only give you 2 glasses. For passive 3D, usually they will give you 5 or more.

      • I'm pretty sure that active was only on Plasma and passive LED/LCD?

  • Work on Samsung 3D LCD screen?

    • Active or passive 3D TV set?. If it's active it might work.

Note that battery is not rechargeable.

    • That's good to know - I hate built-in rechargeable batteries, because they can be expensive (or near impossible) to replace, I prefer to use my own rechargeables :-)

  • Who bought them all?

  • Toshiba ones are gone (page missing). Good value for the kids one if you happen to have a tv that needs it.

  • Thanks OP. Got the glasses. Can you please find a deal for kids?

    • +4

I'm sure there's a few 2-for-1 and 3-for-1 deals available, but the contract cost of kids is pretty damned expensive. Better off looking for a deal on pets.

Kids are like apps with in-app expenses.

        • +1

Yep but your account keeps losing money, and there's moments where you don't seem to get anything for your money :P

        • @Spackbace: the zero upfront cost are just so appealing :)

        • @Make it so:

Yep! Definitely if you're paying for the app then it's gonna have issues later on!

  • Do Plasma active glasses work on LCD active 3D screens? LCD v Plasma make a difference?

  • +1

Generally 3D glasses only work with the manufacturer that made them. The only generic ones I know of would be DLPLink compatible glasses, which are mostly for projectors. As such, these glasses would only work with LG screens.

    • +1

What about the one you're wearing?

      • They're not 3D glasses.

  • Designed For Kids

    Yes… for kids…

Back in 2012 we had to pay $77 for the LG kids glasses. They are basically the same size as the regular glasses except they are more like Women's glasses (slightly less wide so they fit better on thinner heads). They are way too big for most children under 12 years old.

    • $77 then, $5.50 now. What a big drop in price.

  • Damn it, I've got a LG PM6700-TD that I'd like to get some kids 3D glasses for. I know it's active screen but no idea if these would work. Anyone?

    • Small investment on the off-chance that they do work…

      • +1

Actually just came across an answer on the LG website. My TV is only compatible with AG S3** whereas this is AG S2** so no good.

I have enough junk laying around here without wasting $11 on more useless goggles :)

  • Sweet, I have a pz570 and all my glasses have flat batteries that don't charge, have to watch 3d with the usb cable connected.

  • +1

I've got a Samsung with 4 pairs of Active Shutter glasses (unfortunately a lot of brands aren't interchangeable as the television doesn't recognize them to pair up with the glasses) but if you do score these I highly recommend Despicable Me 2, the best 3d movie we've seen, good excuse to watch when we looked after my nephew for school holidays… Top Gun 3D is pretty amazing also for the adults (/big kids)

  • Does it fit adults? Everyone is different size even some kids can be as big as adults.

    • That's a pretty subjective question. However you have seem to answered your own question within your second sentence. $5.50 isn't too expensive to give it a try… worst case scenario, you will have a pair of cool 'sunnies' to wear.

  • Got mine today. Box was damaged, seals on box broken and fingerprints on the lenses. That said, the price tag on the box said $79.99. They do fit me, but they are a tad snug behind the ears and I don't know how comfortable they'd be for an adult for long wear.

  • Got mine today too, 1 out of the 4 came with a cracked lens.

Will try to get the battery out of the broken one and transplant it into my adult pair.

  • Got the LG ones. They are rechargeable with a weird 8 pin mini usb plug. no cable supplied… box open as above.

    • My box had $28 dollar sticker on the box, soft storage case, cable supplied. Everything was intact. These do not work with non LG active 3D tv's. Confirmed with several different samsung tv's between a few family houses.

      • Any idea where to buy such cable?!

  • Confirmed these glasses don't work with a Panasonic ST60. If anyone wants two sets of these glasses, send me a message. I'm near Redcliffe QLD.

  • +1

    These only work with LG PZ950 / PZ650 / PZ570 plasma models.

I successfully transplanted the LIPO battery from the broken kids pair into my adult glasses (AG-S250).
