          @webtherapist:

          Hey webtherapist, haven't seen you since 100 dollar Vita deal!

          Hoping MSY catch the microSD sale train and offer up some 32 in under 15. Android M is nearing!

          I have a feeling Micro SD cards are the next oz bargain eneloops.

        • +1

          @Zylam Marex: I agree, especially now most phone makers decide to go … 'card-free' (No Extended Memory, No NEED for MicroSD), who to blame :)? Apple lol

        • +1

          @webtherapist:

          LOL yea man, I really detest the new trend of built in only memory, memory cards are so awesome, a quick buy and install and you've got so much more ready to go! I really hope Android M pushes for the return of SD!

    Good fast card for your phone. Just bought the 8gb for $5 from the officeworks sale. Guess you can never have too many haha

      How many cards can your phone take ???

    Reasonable card for a Rasberry Pi.
    Normal price is $12.

    • Reasonable card for a Rasberry Pi.

      My Pi has a 2GB class-4 card with full Openelec Kodi install, database, lots of cached artwork, and more than 1GB to spare.

      • I plan to use this for kano, but I agree this is probably more capacity than I need.

  • Finally a good price on decent microSD from MSY.

    cheapest ebay at the moment I have found $9.95

  • Are the Samsung ones actually that much better then Sandisk ones?

    • +5

      Holden v Ford (depends who you ask)

      I prefer Samsung but in reality I think they're both about on par

      • -7

        Samsung vs Sandisk != Holden vs Ford
        Samsung vs Sandisk == Hyundai vs Ford

        • +5

          So Samsung wins then if it's Huyndai vs Ford ? :)

        • +1

          Hyundai isn't bad nowadays, unless you're in the 70s to 80s (bad) or 90s (mediocre)… They're doing quite well!

          E.g. They've won two American Car Of The Year awards, with the luxury Genesis sedan and the Elantra (beating the Ford Focus).

        • Hyundai will be outselling Ford in no time in Australia.
          They used to joke about Japanese cars too. If you think Hyundai's are shit you are out of touch.
          Koreans = don't muck around.

  • +1

    'tis good price if you need it. Was lucky to get the 16GB Samsung PRO for $10 recently (prev OB deal). I only bought it coz it's fast, otherwise I have no use for <32GB anymore.

  • -1

    It says no stock in every store.

    • Start tomorrow"

      • Perhaps they learnt a lesson from the Samsung 32gb Evos they sold for $9 each late last year and pulled all stock until monday.

        • And I still have two pieces of that from last year along with all the specials recently, unopened!

        • @cloudie9: I'd be happy to take them off you :)

      • I know the sale is starting on Monday. Last night the price still said $12 so they should list whether there is stock or not.

        Edit: 8:30am now, still no stock and same $12 price. Morning shift not starting yet I guess.

    nil stock anywhere 5.53 am

  • It is available but still $12.

    Hi guys, just checked in our internal database and all branches have stocks.

    Product link : http://www.msy.com.au/peripherals/13241--16g-samsung-evo-mb-…

    If the store is out of stock, we can back order for you (full-payment required) .

    Thank you

    • It shows $12 instead of $8.

      • +5

        If you purchase it instore, it will be $8 as of now. If you would like to purchase online, please kindly wait till 10AM and we can update the prices (I know it sounds strange) :(

        • 10:10am - still showing as $12..
          (I know, sorry, I'm impatient..)

        • +2

          @Draxxx:

          I am kicking the server right now. "Updating in progress". It won't be long.

          @hung861988:
          I hope you're physically kicking it.. ;)

        • +1

          @hung861988: is PC Byte supplying you with these?

        • +5

          I am kicking the server right now.

          "server" is the name of the guy who updates the websites.

        • @ausmechkeyboards: I don't think so :)

        • @ausmechkeyboards: That's quite clever

    • Good to see rep online to answer the question. +1 for you. Anyway I don't need this card as I just bought two Samsung Pro 32GB cards from you guys on Saturday.

    • I didn't realise MSY did back orders. Could I have done this for the Samsung 32GB pro on the weekend?

  • Can you buy things online from MSY on sale and pick them after the sale has ended still paying the sale price? ie buy today, pick up on Saturday?

  • is it this one?
    Seems already out of stock..

    • +2
      • So is the only difference that the card on offer is UHS-II?
        * 16G Samsung EVO MB-SP16D/APC SDHC Class 10 UHS-I Card - out of stock
        * 16G Samsung EVO MB-MP16DA/APC MicroSDHC Class 10 UHS-II Card - offer (in stock most places)

        • +2

          MSY has it wrong by saying UHS-II just under the title (which the title itself says UHS-I). The MB-MP16DA/APC model pack is a UHS-I card.

          The only difference between the two is that the MB-SP16D/APC is packaged with the card only but the MB-MP16DA/APC is packaged with the card and a bonus full sized SD adaptor. Otherwise the Micro SD UHS-I card in both model packs is exactly identically the same.

        • @hollykryten: Copied the UHS-II from the description. Your explanation about the adaptor being the only difference makes sense.

      • Hi, would it be possible to set up another sale?

  • Hi Rep,

    is it out of stock already? (Mitcham store)

    • +1

      Store stock availability checker for the MB-MP16DA/APC pack version says it's in stock at the Mitcham store for $8. Maybe try and see if you can get that one. The MB-MP16DA/APC package version comes with a bonus full size SD adaptor. The Micro SD card itself in that pack is exactly the same as the other pack which is now out of stock. Other than the bonus full size SD adaptor in the newer pack there's no difference.

      • excellent suggestion! Thanks mate.

  • +1

    Two days to pick up the order?
    Thats a bit hard OP. Some of us work.. :(

  • I kinda feel bad for the 32gb Samsung Pro for $22 now msy

    • Why? I bought two because it is 32GB and it is the faster Pro version, more suitable for my GoPro.

      • +2

        Oh ok. I don't need the pro speed… Evo is enough, and 32gb is overkill for me.

        I would've gone with this deal if there was a choice, that is all.

        Sorry didn't mean to cause any distress to anyone with my comment

        • +2

          Nah, no worry mate. I was just wondering why you felt bad buying the Samsung Pro card.

  • +2

    Price beaten by the competition

    • He got tight arsed.

    Ordered online this morning, pickup from Ipswich, as soon as the web site price was corrected to $8. Order went through fine items were in stock. Just got email saying they don't have any left and they are all sold out…obviously sold them to someone who walked in the door.
