  • Couldn't be worse than the cheap Chinese ones on Ebay??

  • $2.75 delivered on ebay not exactly the same but does the same job - Aus stock

    • Doesn't seem to have as many different card formats as this one. good price though.

  • Would this be able to write to SD cards?

    • yes

  • I got a USB 3.0 one from MSY for $10. :D
Lots of good ones on ebay too!

    • Have you tested the speed? With a fast card does it achieve decent transfers?

  • Is it possible for any of the card formats to saturate the speed of usb 2.1? If not, I think this would be good seeing as the cheapest USB 3.0 version of these are around ~$10 on ebay.

    • Is it possible for any of the card formats to saturate the speed of usb 2.1?

Not sure about the non-existant 2.1, but most decent memory cards can easily saturate USB 2.0.

For example, https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/202094 Sandisk Ultra is rated 48MB/sec, which is more than double the 20MB/sec you could expect from USB 2.0

  • Micro-SD/CF

So this does CF cards ???

  • As at 7:07 AM, they are still $5 in the online store. Using TRENT86's "16XMAS" code takes it down to $4.20 click&collected.

Note: the product page says $43.98, but currently when you add it to your cart and click through to the cart page, the price will be $5, then apply the coupon to bring the price down to $4.20.
Presumably at some stage this morning the price will revert back to $43.98, so carefully check your cart price
