  • That's an exceptionally good price :(
Man I got one for $610 from here like 2 months ago.

Mind you, I wish Samsung would damn well release the Galaxy Tab S2 already, I'm very over the whole Apple thing, it's not for me, gotta sell this ipad air I got. None the less if you're an Apple guy, this is a great price.

    • Better sell your Air before Air 3 comes out.

      • Current iPad Air 2 price was set on October 2014 and AU$1 = US$0.88 at the time. When iPad Air 3 releases, AU$1 may only worth US$0.70 and new iPad prices can be 10%-15% higher.

      • I intend to within say… I dunno 6 weeks at most, hopefully. I always keep box / cables in flawless condition, just in case :)

  • Latest news/rumour is that there will be no new iPad air this year

    • then ipad prices will go down even further
most of the tablet owners are happy with their current device as it is
iOS 9 will keep existing devices in good working order hopefully

      • iOS9 ain't gonna give me a dedicated back button, notification LED, ability to install Kodi (XBMC) ……..

        • +1

Back button is absolutely terrible when most of the time you can swipe back to go back from your fingers natural resting position. In samsung its even worse with the back button on the right of the device.

Why have a back button when there is an immediate and natural swipe gesture?

        • +1

          @thelastnoob:

Because the immediate and natural swipe gesture doesn't work all the time and conflicts with many applications. A dedicated button is there, always, in a consistent location.
Glad you like it on iOS, I detest it.

        • @hamwhisperer:
LOL, they didn't lack a dedicated back button just yesterday. it was always absent. Why would you buy something that lacks the features you want

        • @tchi6:

I figured I'd try an ipad, I got it cheap and knew it had good resale, it's not the end of the world. It's very well made, just a shame. I was hoping I could go back to Apple. the real reason I'm selling was Kodi / XBMC, that was the final straw. I'm not hacking my device just to install quality software like that sadly.

        • @thelastnoob: >In samsung its even worse with the back button on the right of the device.

If you're right handed, it's on the easier to reach side for your thumb/fingers.

Since the multi-task button is the lesser used button of the two, that was put on the left.

Many of them put the back button on the right.

        • @lostn:
I thought right handed people held the phone with left hand
Im confused now but I see left hand as optimal with apple with back swipe gesture

        • @thelastnoob: I use my phones single handed, which means right hand.

Tablet is a different matter. I never tap the screen with my left hand though (I'm right handed).

As the other guy said, swiping as a back function can conflict with swiping as a gesture for an app.

        • @lostn:

I know for a fact swipe left simply screws up in the gmail app.
          Dedicated button solves this issue.

        • @hamwhisperer:
Thanks I was interested in real world examples although this would be more a case
of Google not making it optimal on iphone by disregarding this option
Everytime I have tested this VS android I have always demonstrated it faster and easier

Just tested Gmail and swipes go back and forward a message
It would be great and simple if more devs had a simple option for these gestures
The Gmail app wont even allow me to reduce the text size as it fits 8 mail per screen

Might not be called an iPad air, but there definitely will be a new ipad/tablet from Apple. Even if they just a minor upgrade as they did with the ipad mini 3, they would still make billions from it.

That appears to be the 16GB model (MGL12X/A) with the wrong title on the page. If you look at the capacity further down the page it even says 16GB. If you are lucky you might still be able to price match it.

      sounds like an evilplan

    • that kills the deal. TGG get ready for ipad returns.

  • I concur with evilplan. Change the title to only good guys and no price match at Officeworks, or delete post.
False advertising on the good guys part.
Officeworks already has their 16GB IPad air 2 matched at $594, So they know it's the 16GB model and not the 64GB.

  • Price beat at OW then pay with discounted Coles Myer cards from AMEX deal $479.66

    • Hi how did you bring down from $564 to $479.66? the Vintage Cellars Coles Myer card only give you $15 back for $100, right?

      • This would require multiple AMEX cards and the purchase of multiple CM gift cards. Many have mentioned they have 10+ AMEX cards.

Thanks ~ Successfully price matched at OW for a Space Grey ($564.30) @ Carlton-Kogarah Bay store

  • False advertising. 16GB model only. Congratulations to those who have already price matched with Officeworks.

  • When you search "ipad air 2 64GB" on TGG website, you can't find the product op linked.

    • The link doesn't work anymore.

      • There must be some TGG spies on this site. They are watching us.

        • According to the specs, the model is the 16GB version. Only the title said 64GB; they must have realised they made a mistake.
