Coles Group and Myer gift Cards at Vintage Cellars.

    • +2

      From the T&Cs:
      * Offer excludes Gift Card purchases.

That said, it has worked on other AmEx promos.

      • +3

worked last time they had vintage cellars
also when they had liqurland last month

      • +4

Just bought 2x and got the e-mails straight away.

        • Can you confirm if the email says $15 credit or $5 credit? The typo on the AMEX website is a bit confusing. Thanks

        • +1

          @PBG: $15 :)

        • +1

          @PBG:

Yeah, $15. Vintage Cellars guy even knew about it and was trying to get me to buy wine instead of gift cards. But he was good humoured about it. He said he already had a stack of gift cards out back, but only had a few on display (probably as an "incentive" for those who might think they're out of stock and are too shy to ask).

        • +1

          @zzyss:

Hi,may I ask which store you went? Im in VIC and been to the one in Chinatown. The guy told me that they donot sell gift cards at all

        • same here :( not sure which Vintage Cellars to go now.

        • @ja912son: same here

        • @ja912son:

Ditto - just wasted my lunch hour trekking down there :-(

        • @zzyss:

May I ask which Vintage Cellars did you buy the giftcards from?

        • Hi guys. Got mine from the one on Willoughby Road, Crows Nest (NSW - sorry).

        • +2

          @zzyss:
I bought my gift card there yesterday. No Coles gift cards on display but I asked for one and the shopkeeper said 'another one for the Amex deal'.

        • @zzyss: thanks for sharing. I got 4 at Stanmore NSW.

        • +1

          @SydneySwan:

Hehe… he seems like a good bloke.

        • @ja912son: During the last promotion I went to the Mt Waverley store and gave me a BS excuse that the gift cards had been recalled.

        • @Blitzen: Got mine from the South Melbourne store, quite a fair bit still available then.

      • Does anyone have luck in buying gift cards in Brisbane?
Just went to the Spring Hill store and they only have the Vintage Cellar giftcards. Seems to have hidden the Coles Myer giftcards.

      • I got knocked back today at the Ashburton (VIC) store - apparently their manager has to approve the transaction because they were worried about fraud & money laundering. The guy said they had about a dozen ppl buying $100 gift cards in the last 2 days…

    • -1

didn't see those on their website?

      • +1

How can we use the netflix with multiple cards

    Any idea ?

    • I think they bill each month, so change the card after you get billed?

      • +1

is there an option of buying 2 months in advance, changing card and doing the same etc

        • just chatted with netflix online, they said there is no way of paying in advance , especially since they took away buying egift cards directly through them.

  • The only one that doesn't show for me is Netflix. Perhaps it's because I'm already a member. It does say for new accounts only.

    • +3

Do you still get the first month free as a new user? Would this make it hard to get the $17.98 spend in the timeframe?

  • Anyone have direct links?

  • +1

Can someone suggest the best Amex card to get so I can stop seeing these Amex posts and missing out ;)

No yearly fee is pretty much my only criteria.

    • +1

      Qantas Amex one is ok.
$0 fee and earn Qantas points

    • https://m.americanexpress.com/au/content/frequent-flyer-card… and https://m.americanexpress.com/au/content/velocity-rewards-ca… and https://m.americanexpress.com/au/content/low-rate-credit-car… all have no annual fee.

Supplementary cards are free too so you can multiply the number of offers you enroll in as they have their own unique card number.

      • -2

I've tried Supplementary cards, it didn't work, only the primary card got credit.
        Pretty sure it's in t&c

      • I have $0 fee Amex, but get slugged $80/yr for membership rewards. Do these cards still charge this?

        • +1

Nope. These cards run through either the Qantas or Velocity (Virgin) frequent flyer programs, no yearly fee with these.

      • Imagine u had like 50 supplimentry cards!

        That's like printing money there!

      • Not entirely true.
Certain supplementary cards issued by certain financial institutions have the same card number as the primary card holder. I know this is the case for CBA and Westpac.

However, if your supplementary cards have different numbers.. then go nuts!!

        • Amex issued supp cards have different numbers. Bank issued ones have the same number.

        • +1

@unity1: Not the case with ANZ.

        • @Chuppa: Sorry, only had supps from CBA and they issue the same number. Thanks, might try to get an ANZ supp card.

        • +1

@unity1: FYI, I have ANZ Amex supplementary cards (on both Rewards Black and Rewards Platinum) and can confirm the supplementary cards are unique card numbers so I get these AMEX offers on all of them

        • +2

@unity1: I can confirm the following supplementary cards issued by the following financial institutions have different numbers to the primary card holder:

          • ANZ AMEXs (Rewards & Frequent Flyer)
          • BMW AMEX
          • NAB

          The following have the same:

          • Westpac
          • CBA
        • +1

@illumination: Thanks for clearing that up. Now I understand how some people sign up 20 cards for these offers.

        • +1

@unity1: Some people do have a lot of cards though..

        • @illumination:

          Thanks for the info!

You sure about NAB? I recall reading elsewhere that they use the same number for supp cards.

EDIT: Saw some of your previous posts saying you have a NAB card. Cheers.

        • Can confirm yes

        • @oswade: Yep I do have a NAB card. So my information is based on personal experience and could potentially be invalid if NAB have recently changed?

      • thanks

the velocity card seems like a decent option (and i have a citi platinum also so i think it gets/has the ability to velocity points)

Signed up via one of the referral links so 15000 pts for nothing and this card is pretty much exclusively for these kind of deals :)

    • If you don't mind card hopping, https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/198715 is a good deal for the Platinum Edge and you can cancel within the first year. First year is free, stock up on bathroom stuff for the $200 spend and get 13,500 points. You also get a free domestic return flight.

      • thanks, but i've done a bit too much card hopping over the last 12 months so will probably give it a rest unless some amazing deal pops up

    • After 10 years of having a mortgage, NAB recently sent me a letter in the post about one. It's pretty-much a silent account, apart from that.

QANTAS platinum rewards, all the usual benefits, VISA & AMEX card, 50,000 rewards points, and NO annual fee. <—- they says it's because I'm already an account holder. MAD deal, but probably just targeted - As in, I doubt you could use it as leverage. Normally, it's large points gift with fee, or low points gift.

Had a David Jones AMEX before. $100 fee, to get $200 in vouchers. Never used it otherwise, cancelled within 12mths.

      • thanks.. and already signed up and used one of those for the velocity escape, so someone should be getting a few extra points

'13. Is it possible to place an order online and pick it up from one of the stores (Click & Collect)?

Yes, but at the moment, orders can only be picked up from the store that packs your order. It could either be Manly, Potts Point, Bondi Junction or Boronia Park. We are looking at implementing Click & Collect across all our retail stores over the next 12 months.'

      http://www.harrisfarm.com.au/blogs/campaigns/16463816-faqs

    • For Harris Farm, can this purchase be done multi transactions? So more than once?

      • You can only get the credit statement once per card, but you can spread the $100 spending requirement over multiple transactions.

  • +1

Did anyone get registration confirmation email after signing up?

    • na, in the previous promos, i only received confirmation once i met the spending criteria

      • Thx!

    • I did.

    • Yep i got a confirmation for each of the deals I registered for.

  • +1

Not as good as the previous offers but still good enough. At least I wont be spending alot on McDonalds, instead now spending money on fruits and veggies from Harris Farm.

    • +4

50% off fresh produce sounds pretty good to me!

      • +1

Only in a very small specific area :(

        • +1

New South Wales is small and specific?

      • Same.

  • Anyone has the direct link for the Expedia offer?

Edit: Nvm checked my Amex account page and the offer is available in the list of offers for my card. But still post the link if you have. It will be useful for someone.

  • Does Netflix charge you on the first day of your monthly period or the last day?

  • Have registered for the Netflix one, now just gotta work out how to get my account to use my Amex, especially when I have all the free credit in there from Optus deals.

  • I think for Netflix sign up a new account, register with AMEX, take the first 30 days free, then let them charge you $17.98. Cancel NetFlix account, done.

Depends on when they bill you, you might want to do in Sep at the latest

    Liquorland (expiring soon)

Spend $100 or more, get $15 back.
    Valid from 05/05/2015 to 10/07/2015

    https://network.americanexpress.com/connect/au/en/doe_offer_…

  • Harris Farm Online only delivery within NSW

    • Harris Farm only has stores in NSW

  • Sounds like the Netflix deal gives you an extra 2 free months on the $8.99 plan.
So if you sign up today, you will get a free month till 7th August and then you'll get charged $8.99 (7th September) and another $8.99 (7th October) at which point you will get the $17.98 credit.

The transaction must happen by 7th October, so you pretty much need to create a new account today.

Don't worry about using multiple cards for this one as there's no benefit to having multiple Netflix accounts during the same period.

    • So you're sure Netflix charges you after the month is complete and not at the start?

      Edit: https://help.netflix.com/en/node/27
Says it bills at the start of the period. So we have still up to 7th August to use this offer

      • I agree - up to and including 7th August sounds right to me.

      • +1

You're right, it is at the start of the period.
I was referring to those who would have to wait for the "free month" to finish.

        • Doesn't everyone get the first month free?

        • @uggugg: Yes, the limitation is for people who need to sign up for a new account, rather than existing subscribers.

New accounts: need to sign up today as they would essentially be billed at the end of the month (since they have to wait for their first month).

Existing accounts: can take up the offer anytime from now until 7th August.
