Hi except there's a problem you need to spend $17.98 in one transaction.

You cannot prepaid Netflix for two months in advance so the deal will not work?

      C.Eligible Transactions
      Only transactions made:

      1.on your Registered Card;
2.during the Offer Period and after the date you register your Card; and
      3.as a new user directly at www.netflix.com.au

      • +1

You don't need to spend the whole $17.98 in one transaction

Register an eligible Card, spend $17.98 or more on that Card, in one or more transactions, online at Netflix, between 7 July 2015 and 7 October 2015 and receive one $17.98 statement credit. This offer is limited to the first 10,000 Cards to register.

    • this is using standard definition tho.. has anyone used standard definition, and what your thoughts on it?

  • +1

I still got a couple 3 month free Netflix (optus) vouchers to go so Mehh

    • I also have still; one left (not yet registered with Netfilx). …

      So sign up now … 07/07 - 07/08 free
      2 months Amex 07/08 to 07/10
3 months Netflix (you need to register the Voucher before 30/09/2015 … but not before 07/09/2015 so that the Amex charge gets through) —> 07/10 to 07/01/2016

That's at least my understanding how it could work

  • Hmmmm, I did a Netflix trial in April (with Amex as my notional card for billing) and then cancelled. I wonder if I can sign up again with the Amex card?

  • There is (hopefully) a typo in the Vintage Cellars deal

Says "Spend $100 or more, get $15 back" in the heading of the page, but in the details says "Register by saving the offer to Card and spend $100 or more, in one or more transactions, online or in-store at Vintage Cellars, before 27/07/15 to receive one $5 statement credit."

    Hopefully is $15 credit

    • Yes, saw that typo too.

    • it'll be a typo. If not, AMEX customer service are very good IME at rectifying issues like this, e.g. they once had a Quicksilver deal, I went to the outlet store but the transaction showed up as Roxy. Called them up and they quickly fixed me up with the statement credit manually.

    • Hopefully is $15 credit

      it is :)

  • Does this work with ANZ Amex card as well?

  • Does anyone know if I could order $50 grocery and $50 gift card from Harris Farm Online and get $50 credit?

    • Im going to order 100 guft card so ill let u know.. i can't spend 100 in 1 go.

      • Thanks a lot! ;-)

        • +10

ALL GOOD!!! … bought a 100 dollar gift card and got an email confirmation from amex for the 50 credit!!! happy 50% of groceries for a while!!

        • @hippyhippy:

          Thanks for confirming hippy,

I haven't shopped at Harris farm before, can you comment on their product quality and price?

Looking briefly at their website, most products seem to be much more expensive than the supermarkets and local shops…

I guess 50% off will make a difference.

        • @hippyhippy:
Is the gift card online only?

        • @hippyhippy: wow hippy that was great!

        • @hippyhippy: can you use this gift card in store?

        • @himchar:harris just like any grocery store or woolies.. quality is about tue same.. i can't imagine why you couldn't use a gift card in store

        • @hippyhippy:actually.. the Web site doesn't specifically say if you can use in store. ..but anyways even if you have to use online is better than having to spend 100 on fresh groceries in 1 go

        • @Hendot: yes

        • @hippyhippy:

The gift card can only be used online, right?

edit: oops, missed the discussion above

        • @hippyhippy: just checked with Harris farm, this gift card can only be used online.

Lots of restrictions for this offer for me. I am out delivery zone.

        • @himchar: In that case then the only benefit of buying the gift card is to buy more time in spending the $100. Remember, you don't have to spend $100 in one transaction to qualify for the offer.

        • +5

@himchar: I just bought the $100 gift card at harrisfarm.com.au and can confirm the following:

          1) there is no delivery cost because it is emailed to you
          2) 30 seconds after making the purchase I was emailed the $50 statement credit confirmation email
          3) 6 minutes after making the purchase the gift card was emailed to me. It can only be used online (not in store). Details as follows:

To use your gift card, copy and paste the code XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX into the gift cards section during checkout.

Please be advised that this gift card can only be used by the intended recipient and is valid for online purchases until 2016-07-07

I'd still recommend getting the online gift card over the normal online grocery shop AMEX offer because they have a 1 year expiry so you aren't locked into buying heaps of groceries before 31/8 (especially useful if you have multiple AMEX cards/offers).

        • @PBG: thanks, I am out of delivery area. I would have preferred a physical card that I could use in store.

        • @himchar: I am in a delivery area, but would also have preferred physical card so don't have to meet the $80 spend for free delivery :(

        • @PBG: $80 is still heaps of groceries (to get free delivery).

        • @delfredo: Yeah, I agree - but I would struggle to spend $80 in one order at Harris Farm. Love Harris Farm and we shop there regularly (in-store) pushing $50 on a big shop. With four AMEX's we have heaps of shopping to get through in the next year :)

        • @PBG: Called head office (02) 9394 3111. Confirm only online gift card but there is options to pick up in Boronia Park store near gladesville to avoid delivery charges at any value purchase.

However, it seems too far away for us to there so if getting the gift cards, best option for people not live near gladesville would be purchase $80.

Trouble is. its hard still for our family ones to always engineer a shop in bulk…

        • @leehungfei: Yeah, not all Harris Farm stores do click & collect (yet). I think Manly is another. Unfortunately none near us.

      • +1

You don't actually have to spend it all in one go for any of these deals. The rebate triggered once you spend the total amount before the end date.

      • Please let me know too. Thanks alot !!

        • Read the 20 posts immediately above this, it has already been done and explained in detail :)

    • Gift cards are specifically excluded from the offer in the terms & conditions, however it has worked on every Coles/Woolworths AMEX statement credit offer before.

Haven't tried purchasing a Harris Farm gift card but I would guess it works. Can you get a Harris Farm gift card delivered for free under the $80+ free shipping offer?

EDIT: too slow to the party :( Just saw the above comments.

  • Can we add the manual links please?

For some reason my bank issued card can not be registered to the AMEX acct.

"We are unable to register your card.
Please call the number on the back of your card for further assistance."

  • does harris farm ship to QLD?
edit: nvm just read above comments

  • On the Harris Farm website, when I search for $100 Gift Card, the image says "Online Gift Card" although the text says "$100 Gift card". Does anyone know if this means that you can only use it to shop at Harris Farm online or is it en eGift card that you can spend in store? Or do they post you out a physical gift card?

The reason I ask is that I prefer to pick my own fruit and veggies in store to get the nicest looking ones…

Edit: nvm, just read above comments.

    • +1

People picking out the "nicest looking ones" is the reason so much perfectly good produce gets thrown out……

      • +1

Is there something wrong with that?

produce/food is wasted not because we 'pick'. Its because we are a wasteful society…and we have much more than we actually need

        • Yes. Have you worked in a fruit shop? So much is thrown out due to bruising and blemishes. We are wasteful, and picking visually appealing produce whilst discarding blemished produce is a prime example of that.

Everyone is too fussed on how "pretty" their fruit and vag is.

If I enrol for Netflix, what is it … and what do I actually get - watch movies on TV under this offer till (I thibk) it said Oct? Is that what netflix is?

    • -5

Thanks for the neg vote for asking a question. A quick answer to the Q would be appreciated, is it just a month of free movies?

      • +2

Netflix offers the first month free to any new subscriber. This AMEX offer will be able cover 2 months of Netflix on their lowest package ($8.99 a month). So you should be able to score 3 months worth of movies and TV shows.

        Enjoy :)

      • use google next time

    • +1

Its a video subscription service, where you can watch movies/tv shows on demand . It connects through your home internet so you can watch any shows/movies they have.

          Apples and oranges.

        • -2

@phoenixx: Exactly, maybe for other people it reminds them of their glory days at school where they thought they were super cool. (before they grew up to be anonymous neggers)

  • Awesome! I used 2X cards for $100 HF vouchers. Got the Amex email and G cards within 1 second of hitting purchase.

Shame I can't use it in-store but I'm sure I'll find something on special to sock up on online.

    • The gift cards cant be used in store? Myers and woolies digital gift card can be used in store…

      • +1

Please note: Gift cards may be used only once. All remaining funds with be returned back to you in an email with a new gift card. Gift cards may only be used in the online store of Harris Farm Markets, not in our retail stores. Gift Cards will expire 1 year after purchase.

  • Harris farm free delivery over $80 spend is for 3 orders only so might be wise to order via 2 accounts if participating in this offer with more then 3 different Amex cards

    • According to HF website "*Limited to 1 online account per household.".

    • +1

That's just the new customer bonus. After that, it's free delivery over $150, or free delivery over $100 if within 7 days of your previous order.

There's also free delivery Wed and Sat for people within Zones 1 & 2 or Friday for Zone 3.

So it's not all that bad.

Stack Expedia with NAB10 code (10% off) and Cashrewards (5.5% back). Doing this would bring a booking that Expedia quotes at $560 down to $426, a total saving of 24%.

    • +1

Also I can confirm that Cashrewards works when using the NAB10 code.

    • Great stacking!

I guess best value will be if the hotel total comes to exactly 500, in which case after all the discounts and cash backs, you end up paying $375.25 (24.95% off)

      • +3

Nope because if you get something worth $500, the NAB10 code will reduce it to $450. Your Amex will be charged $450 and you won't receive the credit. You wan't something $555.56 to maximise the % off.

        • +1

Ahh fair enough, thanks for clearing that up!

  • -2

So, let's say I spend $100 or so at Harris Farm online, and on the day of delivery they are out of stock of a few ordered items and so they refund $5 to my amex card. Will the statement credit be withdrawn? If so, do we need to 'over order' to avoid this problem?

    • That refund would be a separate transaction, won't affect initial charge or the refund.

      • Not sure why Vallani got negs…. I was wondering the same thing…..actually

In Butcher category, Harris Farm website mentions "This product is a variable weight product, so the relevant quote is the $/kg price:
-When you buy, you will pay for the heaviest weight quoted for this product.
-When we select the product in store, we will weigh it and refund you for the difference between the weight paid and the actual weight received."

Are you sure this type of refund will not affect $50 credit received from Amex (as after the refund the spending will be less than $100)? I'm not sure how Amex define "a separate transaction" as the refund would be from the same seller after the initial purchase.

Anyone can shed some light on it?

        • +2

If you are worried by this then buy the gift card so you're guaranteed the $100 spend and then buy stuff using the card

    • +3

This is what happened to me. 4 items out of stock and they refunded the difference. As a result, the net total is less than $100 now. I will report back what happens when the transaction shows online.

      • +5

If past experience is anything to go by, you will still be entitled to the full statement credit as long as your initial transaction is not reversed in full. So you could spend $105 (for example) and have $20 worth of items cancelled, resulting in a $105 debit then an $20 credit (for the refund/cancellation) and you would still get the $50 statement credit.

Source: Tried myself personally with previous David Jones statement credits, and another user reported that this worked with Target statement credits from previously.

      • +1

Ok, Harris farm instead issued me refund in online gift card. Therefore had no problem getting the $50 credit back.

  • Excellent set of offers again, thanks.

  • anybody has direct link to expedia please?
    thanks in advance

  • Hmm, do you reckon it'll work with US Netflix? We're on the grandfathered $US7.99 plan for 2 screens and HD so I don't really want to change to Australian billing.

  • Has anyone else's Harris Farm confirmation email looked like this:

*You have successfully registered your Card ending in XXXXX.

Congratulations, a statement credit is on its way. Thank you for making an eligible purchase and qualifying for our Amex Offer. Your $50 statement credit for spending $100 at Harris Farm will be issued to your registered Card account. Statement credits are generally issued within 5 business days upon completion of your eligible transaction.*

Not sure what is going on, but I have spent over $100 over the past 2 weeks at HF (not online, 2 transactions)

    • That's exactly what my Harris Farm confirmation emails looked like, after I registered my AMEX card for the offer, and about 30 seconds after I spent $100 today at harrisfarm.com.au.

Are you saying you registered for the offer, did NOT purchase anything at harrisfarm.com.au today, and instead they are giving you the $50 credit for transactions you made, in-store, over the past 2 weeks before you registered for the offer?

If so, that is new to me… and well done!

    • I received the same email yesterday after I registered via the link.
      Never bought from HF before….
I believe Amex just mixed up the email content. This had happened before.

  • Has anyone tried the Expedia offer on anything other than hotels (e.g. Flights), don't see how AMEX would be able to tell the difference?

  • Has anyone ever been to the Harris Farm in Merrylands? the setup and produce looks worse than your typical dodgy fruit store on the corner that is all old and damaged.

Then compare this to say Manly or Bondi, and you get the complete opposite - I think the same goes for woolies and coles but not as extreme as Harris Farm.

I guess those who live in the richer suburbs are privileged… discrimination!

    • May be something to do with the competition at Bondi Junction. The massive Norton St Grocer in Westfield is excellent, & there are several other 'organic' places nearby.

Harris Farm has to compete with them, & they are in the daggy Eastgate Centre which is disadvantage. The carpark there is rotten also.

  • Harris Farm is the best offer I have seen. the prices 10% more than the shop price but $50 for $100 worth of goods that you can actually select and used.. 100% Thumbs up..

  • My email after spending $100.

Congratulations, a statement credit is on its way. Thank you for making an eligible purchase and qualifying for our Amex Offer. Your $50 statement credit for spending $100 at Harris Farm will be issued to your registered Card account. Statement credits are generally issued within 5 business days upon completion of your eligible transaction.

if your additional card number is different from the original one than you can register separately and take up the offer.

  • Does anyone know what happens if you buy something, get your rebate and cancel the order. I see from the terms and conditions that you get your rebate cancelled as well BUT, do you get to use the offer again or have you lost it?

    • +1

Previously, you'd lose it. But you can just call up Amex customer service and beg them to give it to you. In my own personal experience they're usually quite generous with these so long as you're polite and do have a reasonably valid claim.

      • Yes, you'd lose it.
But it would probably be easier to just buy 2 items and only refund one of them so the value of your initial transaction is not reversed/refunded in full. You keep the credit that way.

  • Anyone know if you use Paypal to pay for Netflix, but the card linked to Paypal is the Amex enrolled in this, it still works? or does it need to be paid directly?

    • +2

Won't work. Has to be direct and not via a payment aggregator e.g. Paypal.

      • Thanks Chuppa, much appreciated! :)

        • it's all covered in the T&Cs

2.Purchasing a merchant’s goods through a third party. For example iTunes via Apple TV, PayPal, telecommunications providers or other retailers
