They haven't done $10 or $20 JB vouchers in sooooo long :(

  • How do you guys get that many tokens? Mines never went over $50.

Do you work in a restaurant that you always get the codes?

    • +5

      bin diving, i'd guess

      • It wouldn't be worth the effort anymore, considering the Hoyts offer has been extinct for a long time now.

    • +5

cleaners at work need to recycle bottles from in bins, I have lined them up to save the labels for me.
since I have started (earnt over 20,000 points in my main account) 2 other people have started, so we share the vouchers we get…
we still get 20 codes a week, enough for 2 accounts

  • +3

Excuse my stupidity, but If you can only enter 10 codes per 7 days, then they expire after 90 days, how can you get 2000 points?

    • +9

they only expire if you haven't entered or redeemed tokens for 90 days

    • You just need to redeem one code per 90 days to extend the expiry of all of them for 90 days.

      • +1

        s/redeem/enter/

  • +4

ive got nearly 500 after a year and a half.

Too many people on coke flat out. lol

  • +2

I still haven't entered all the code from those bottles I bought few weeks ago …lol… waiting for Hoyts movie deal back.

      OK, story time.

    • Did you buy Mentos to go with it? :P

      • I should have bought from COTD deal :)

  • -5

So, given the number of points here, and that you get 3 points for every coke label, they're worth 15cents each. Times whatever fraction you think a JB credit dollar is compared to a real dollar.

    • +3

You get 10 points a label.
      2000/10= 200 labels
      $100/200 = $0.50 a label
Then as you said whatever you value $1.00 @ JB compared to a real stand alone $1.00

The best value you can get is the hoyts rewards voucher which are 95 points and equate to about $1/label, assuming you buy tickets from Optus and not from Hoyts directly of course, if that's the case then ofc it'd be worth a bit more than $1/label.

      • +4

It's actually worth more than $1, these Hoyts tickets from Cokerewards can be used to book 3D movie and any day including Saturday after 5pm.

        • +1

And no fee for upgrading to XtremeScreen. Though you do get charge a booking fee when booking online.

      • +1

I guess I was looking at the US site. Wow that makes it a lot more worthwhile then.

    • +2

      wow such math very value

  • +2

I'll never get enough for a reward, so here's my code: RKRTMRXYNRWFF

    • You need to keep entering 10 codes per week to build them up.
Is there a block of units nearby? Check their recycling bins the day before they get collected.

      • I live in a 4 storey apartment, so there's bound to be some in the recycling bins. Bargain > Pride ?

        • +1

I wouldn't go dumpster diving for a $100 JB gift card but then that's just me.

        • I live in a 74 floor apartment building, i once plucked up the courage to have a wander and look in the recycling bins on each level. There wasn't enough off a return for my effort so i haven't since done it again >.<

    • The code has been redeemed. I hope someone said thank you.

they should give hospital vouchers to treat the diabeties

    • +8

unfortunately, they can't treat you for telling unfunny jokes.

      • -1

it wasn't a joke, coke in excess will give you diabetes

        • who says we're drinking it "in excess", if at all?

        • -2

@tdw: i gather you earn points per coke… so you either drinking lots of it, or buying it and throwing it in the bin, going through bins, you tell me.

        • @unclesnake: i've mentioned how i get my tokens in previous coke rewards threads, which, incidentally always involves at least one know it all making a diabetes or tooth decay comment like they're the first in history to do so.

        • -3

@tdw: i don't mind diabetes, i have a job for life as long as its around…. coke is akin to me like a ford is to a mechanic

        • -1

@unclesnake: aww well too bad you won't be getting my business any time soon lol

        • -5

@tdw: don't fret business is pumping… how do u earn the points then if you dont consume copious amounts of coke…

  • I got an account with 650 points, then i gave up. Regret now :(

    • +2

i think you made the right choice

  • +3

This has been available for the last 8 weeks (at least). I know that because it's the only thing worth redeeming for and I've been redeeming my codes towards this voucher for that long.

    Am I missing something?

    • +2

Yeah this reward has been available for long time and no changes in the points, no idea why it's being highlighted now.

      • +2

Previous deal posts were marked expired, that is the reason why it is being highlighted again. With over 700 clicks as of now, I think this post has served the community.

  • I'm up to 610 points after over a year. I got in for the yoyos and frankly regret wasting my time since. If they ever put something worth redeeming I'll redeem it then I'm out. Life's too short for this nonsense.

  • the 100 and 200 dollar gift vouchers have been on there a long time, i usually bump a few codes a week and seek whats out there.

the PSN games are more of a deal then this if yo uask me but then how long will it take to get 2000 points @ a max of ten tokens or 100 credits per week.

    • The PlayStation games are gone!

This JB card's been there for months. I don't think many of us would have 2000 points. It's only the $10, $20 (or was it $25) and $50 cards that got snapped up fast and haven't been back for ages.

      • +1

Lol last year I picked up two 100 dollar gift cards from coke rewards.

I have maybe 50 at least tokens still to input and I'm at 960 already.

Fair few friends drink the stuff and I take the reward

  • +1

Normally, $100 gift cards/vouchers are worth 2,000 points ($50 = 1,000, $25 = 500), so I always consider my labels to be worth $0.50c each. That way I know how much of a reward I'm getting back from my bottle purchases, and hunt for cheap coke accordingly. By the way, 1.25l bottles are on special for $1.39 each at Woolworths at the moment.

    • lucky you with free Gold class tickets

  • +2

I use to give away free coke rewards codes back in the days but then I got a cease and desist message from cokerewards

    • Codes off actual labels, or mathematically correct codes?

      • He works somewhere where they throw out way too many cokes if I remember correctly

    • Don't think coke can monitor PMs :)

But seriously, if you have access to that many you're sitting on a goldmine. make a bunch of different accounts and buy like a big ass 3D tv or something.

      • +1

Only one account per person over 13 is allowed. Combining points is not possible.

        • Family, friends can have accounts

  • +2

First to PM gets a code.

    • +1

      All gone
