Lenovo, Asus and Fujitsu machines,

prices ranging from $688 to $2000, but each individual machine seems to be really good value,

Fujitsu A1120 Made in Japan for $799
C2D 2.0, 3GB, 320GB, 15.6" Vista business/XP-pro/ Win7pro
I couldnt find the exact machine but this is the closest, I think this is a really good deal

Staticice pricing ranges from $1030-$1208 for the same type of machine

Asus X59SR-AP247C with Blu-Ray for $848

Potentially again I think this could be the best deal, couldnt really find exact machine
but on staticice for a watered down Dual core version you pay more, so I ran it through Price spya and MLN were selling this for $1498 before
http://www.pricespy.com.au/search.php?q=asus+f81se

Asus M60VP-6x061c for $1977
C2D 2.8ghz, 4GB, 1TB HDD, 16", 1GB graphics, vistahom/Win7 Home
very powerful machine

enjoy! I didnt have the time to go into depth on each offer and run a comparrison on all of the machines either.

  • The Asus X59SR-AP247C with Blu-Ray for $848 looks like a good deal, but shame it doesn't have windows 7 upgrade. :(

If you don't need Blu-Ray you can get the same spec Asus X59SR-AP247C for $795 with free 20" Samsung Monitor from here:
    http://www.computeralliance.com.au/parts.aspx?qryPart=10396

    not sure about shipping though.

    • $50 for blue-ray player is alright I guess and the one listed has 4GB RAM (unless it's an error?).

      But you're right, for $795 with free 20'' monitor, it's definitely a bargain. :)

  • Asus F81se for $999 looks good but only 14.1" screen.

All of the machines come with windows 7 upgrade.

My friend bought the Toshiba notebook for $799 so I am not sure if the Asus stuff is really that good, as he was really happy about the Toshiba after sales support that was offered and he said that the wireless card was really good becuase he got great download speeds from his router.
