30% off Royal Melbourne Show Tickets w' RACV Membership + $6 Kids entry Mon/Tues

100

Same as my 2014 submission:

It's almost back! Fellow Melbournians (and Victorians) would agree the Royal Melbourne show is the place to be. Bring your kids, feed some goats and get bumped into by hoards of rampaging teenagers as they head for the latest rigged skill tester game or dodgy ride.

30% off (+ Stupid $1 print fee) for RACV Members https://tickets.royalshow.com.au/event/view/wys792mgd

$5 KIDS ENTRY MONDAY & TUESDAY (+ Stupid $1 Print fee) is also a great deal if going with one parent https://tickets.royalshow.com.au/event/view/5c1b6hsm0

These are the best deal I could find on show tickets at the moment.

  • Forgot to mention every entrant also receives a free cold or flu and if you lucky enough free sand blown into your eyes from the arena

Free cold & flu comes compliments of Metro.

The show sucks, too expensive. Was good about 20 years ago haha

    • Was good about 20 years ago

      Even better 50 years ago…

      • Are you as old as the profile pic may imply?

  • The value bundles work out much cheaper if you're planning on going on any rides…

jv, you're FREE on the AU store :)

Yes, that's to celebrate my son, Michel's birthday the other day…

        • Congratulations!

        • @tightarse:

          Congratulations!

          He died 90 years ago…

You would be too, if you got sent to a penal colony…

        • @jv:

I am in a penal colony

        • @jubba:

I am in a penal colony

Thanks for clarifying, I thought you were a bacterial colony…

        • @jv:

          You are welcome Madame

  • there is hardly any animals anymore,It's now full of rides and show bags.rather go to a country show.

    • there is hardly any animals anymore

you must be going to the wrong show then… There's lots of animals, but some people chose just to go on the rides and buy show bags…

      • we are talking about the one in Ascot Vale. It's half the size is use to be.and you said it was better years ago

        • and you said it was better years ago

Showbags were better value and there were stacks and stacks of free samples… Today it's all about $$$… But there are plenty of animals and judging happening, you just need to plan your day…

It's half the size is use to be

That's probably a perception because you're twice the size you used to be…

        • Not a perception, the arena where the trots have gone, the coles and 1st choice store is where the dog pavillion use to be.

  • Do I need to be member of RACV to buy the 30% off tickets? Thanks.

    • Yes…

      • Correct…

        Thanks jv.

"1" seems to be a valid RACV membership number… Do they actually check RACV membership at the gate, or just scan barcode like at GP?

  • +1

    Thanks rawm.

  • When I was a kid they didn't have 'show bags', just free samples, mostly in bags.

  • Does anyone know if an RACV friend can buy me tickets or do I need to present my RACV membership?
(I don't own a car, no RACV,…… I know that makes me kinda a bad guy - but I know that several "RACV member" deals don't seem to strictly enforce proof of membership?)

    Thanks any / all.

oAll you need is a valid (friend/family member) membership number when you select to buy tix on the website. im sure there is no cross checking.

      • Thanks, someone else tells me the same thing too.
