It takes them 2 hrs to hand out a free T-shirt?

    • +3

Custom design, then print and press, hence the long wait time.

Stand in line for 2 hours to become a walking billboard. Classic.

  • +2

Do they hand out any Coke while you're in the line for that long? Cos that'd be cool..

    • +1

Nope. I was there today at about 4 ish and there was about 10 people in line or something and it was a 2hour wait.

  • +2

I thought the easier thing to do would be to take the order then SMS the customer when it's ready for pick-up, or am I missing something? Or is this only for coke addicts?

    • SMS? It's only 2015, not 3015!

In all seriousness, a long queue builds hype and advertises itself.

I'm pretty sure THESE guys want one

  • you know you're on reddit too much when you avoid clicking a deal because you think it's [NSFW].

yeh is there a link somewhere? I googled "coke happiness shirt" and this page is the #1 link lol

a few years ago there was a promo at some westfields to have your name printed on a coke can which they were handing out free, Took around 1hrs - it was actually a sticker which they stuck on a blank can…. NOT worth it.

They toured the promo at westfields all around australia - cant find info on this promo though

    • Would it be a fitted European shirt or a fatty American shirt?

The shirts on the 3 staffers look awfully sloppy. But I guess if you drink a lot of Coke, you need room for belly growth.

    • The shirt is custom designed by you. Sort of. So you're supposed to act happy and like you're having fun in front of the camera and that is then "translated" into a piece of "art" by some program. It looked like a bunch of coloured shapes mashed up which is then shared on social media and printed on a shirt. Funny because I just had a go searching on social media for a picture and I can't find one. Must be a special hash tag or something.

      • Someone correct me if I'm wrong but it was something like the examples on this https://www.coca-cola.com.au/happiness100/

        • ok yeah looks like they print one of those "logos" for you on a shirt after they take your picture with a camera then convert it with their "coke filter"

honestly the filter looks a bit crap for a multinational company like coke.
looks more like something RC cola would do.
