    Are these quite thick?

    • +8

      Very thick and long

      • +35

        That's what she said

        • +17

I've never heard those words said to me before.

          • +5

@dust: That’s because you are the one saying it

          • +1

@dust: Maybe too busy stuffing it?

      • How she likes it

        Username checks out.

    • +3

Well they did not complete primary school…

    • It looks shocking thick!

  • +39

51% Cotton 49% Polyester! For those who prefer 90% or higher percentage of Cotton, this is not for you.

    • +1

Thanks for the heads up. I prefer high % of cotton because it sticks with the shoes and makes it better for walking and/or running.

    • +12

      49% Polyester

      plastic

    • +8

      basically plastic. goes stinky

    • Does mention cotton on the Amazon site and the one on anaconda is kids sizing so 2 different products? Or just lazy details on Amazon.

    • Yeah, when I saw "Made from premium quality material" I knew it was going to be a rather high Polyester %…

    • You're all missing the point. These are work socks, so it needs a higher polyester count to remain durable.

  • +5

    "Premium quality material" lol

  • +7

One size, nah that's not going to work for me. It's either too big, just right or too small. 66.6 % of customers unsatisfied. I want the daddy bear size and a nice nice nap thanks

    • -2

It is very big and thick

    • Agree, but free returns on this so small risk here.

    • +1

I'm 10.5 and these are perfect for me.

      • Too big for most people then

  • +1

Seems like an error - can't be added to cart.

    • Still working for me — maybe it depends on your state. I’m in NSW.

    • +1

U must be in a high risk postcode, beanies can be used to conceal

    • You live in a blacklisted postcode that amazon doesn't like to deliver to.

  • Order isn't processing . Great deal though. Esp when I work with Cat engines

    • +1

      Always preferred dog

  • checkout not working?

  • -1

    "No longer available" ?

    • Whats the deal with the neg?
Good to see it's available again though.

Managed to order, thanks for the comments above mentioning that they're thick. I can retire some of my shabbiest work boot socks at last!

  • Cheers OP! 🍻

  • ordered 2

  • Thanks OP. Ordered one.

  • Material not ideal.

    • It has been described as Premium quality by Cat

  • Customers usually keep this item

This product has fewer returns than average compared to similar products.

  • +3

I have the same thing from anaconda and conclude it’s horrible for people that are prone to sweating in their socks.

We don't know when or if this item will be back in stock.

  • +2

Ordered and paid in about ten seconds….thanks

  • +1

Just ordered also, thanks OP :)

    • +5

Depends how much you normally pay for socks and how you value the beanie, I suppose.

Not sure you'd get much better for under $2 a pair. Harsh neg from a once per olympiad poster…

  • is it for adults or kids?

    • They're big, will fit godzillas as well.

  • Bought hope they will fit.

  • +2

Got these a few weeks ago for $1–$2 more. I wear US size 8 Adidas shoes — the socks fit, but they’re on the looser side.

  • any way to remove the label? would love some basics

  • Will they? Won't they? It's always fascinating when I log into an Amazon deal now, sometimes they will deliver to our address, sometimes they won't. I guess Jeff Bezos needs more dollars for his mega wedding. So over flipping Amazon and their stinginess.

    • Just about everything I want to buy can't be shipped, used to spend thousands per month and now I will be lucky to spend a $200 this year. Amazon has gone to shit.

  • +2

    Bought
    Cheers big ears

CAT make the armoured bulldozers that Israel used recently to bury 15 aid workers and their ambulances in an effort to hide evidence of their massacre. Not to mention demolish houses, run over living and dead civilians, etc

    • Using that logic Saudi Arabia is selling oil that is refined into fuel to power the bulldozers and some other country is selling the iron ore and coal to make the killdozers and why o why isn’t everything going to plan when people prey so many times a day.
Seems like they help those that help themselves.
Or bribe a us Congressman like everyone else.

but this is possibly a little deep for Chinese made American branded socks discussion,
back to cotton v nylon % 50/50? Like Explorer Socks now?
Are Aussie Explorer socks saving the planet by not using wool = less sheep or..

      • No, the bulldozers are specific armoured bulldozers to go into conflict zones and demolish houses and kill people despite being under fire. They are a custom made for the specific purpose of perpetuating a violent occupation that's turned into a genocide, I don't know that anyone else besides Isrsel needs one. Not because there isn't conflict elsewhere, but because this is the deliberate erasure of a people for the resettlement of their land by an aggressor.

Not that there isn't enough reasons to get off oil, you probably should buy an EV if you can, then you can power your transport specifically with Australian power that isn't reliant on any overseas interest, whether green or coal.

        • +2

You’ve convinced me. Just bought a second set.

Should keep me warm on today’s walk up to vote for my local teal. The money I save might even help me pay for a deposit and get out of mum and dads house one day so I can see what it’s like to pay my own renewable only electricity bill…

          • +2

@UncleRico: Good to see you are voting Teal, they have been outspoken about being anti genocide. Sorry to hear that you aren't living in a camper anymore, that was a cool one.

        • -3

Cheers, ordered some to support a good cause.

    • So, very capable and versatile

    • +3

Thanks. Not buying stuff from them. Probably the bulldozer they built that killed Rachel Corrie

  • +14

    Mine arrived today.

There's two tags inside the bag with one covering the other tag so you cannot tell the material it's made of until you open it. It's unfortunate because it hides the holographic sticker proving it's a genuine authorised product too.

So to clear up the materials, it is:

    65% recycled cotton
    32% polyester
    3% spandex

    Made in China. Size 9-12

I think this % polyester is okay cause it gives the socks some strength from stretching too much and wearing out without making the socks feel slippery inside the shoe.

The cat logo is stitched on the sock with different colour thread which is a lot better than printed and the logo on the beanie (embossed?) is really nice too.

All in all I think it is a quality set and well worth the 10 bucks

    • appreciate the additional info, thanks

    • what is your beanie colour? is it black as per image? i receive a grey one

      • +2

Not the commenter you asked the question of, but my beanie was indeed black.

        • Thanks, guess i received it randomly

      • +1

        Grey! I didnt even notice.

    • -1

That's the most detailed sock review I think I have ever read… now that I think about it, possibly the only sock review.

  • great deal! unfortunately not shipping to my location

  • +1

Got it today and not bad at all, thanks OP :D

  • +4

Never in my life have I had to cut so many of those plastic things to release the socks from being tied together.

    • +2

Same! And just when I thought I got them all I spotted another one stuck in there :/

  • +1

    Mothers' Day sorted.

  • +1

Finally my caterpillars will have enough socks to keep them warm

    • +1

Now to solve the hunger issue…

  • Just wanted to add that the first beanie I received looks like the pic, second one is a thicker and larger knit(?) with a rubber badge…. So more than just colour variety available….

    • +1

Interesting! I have just gone back and ordered a second set as I was sufficiently impressed with the first and am also annoyed I don't have any clean CAT socks left this week. Doubling up will help stock levels between washes haha… And I get to play the beanie lottery too. Bonus!

      • Yeah, I'm getting some for family too, beanie is an added bonus :)

        • +1

FWIW the second set was a grey beanie!

  • coming up as $19,.99?

    • Was still $9.xx yesterday but now showing as $19.99.

At $9.xx they are ok for the price but definitely not as good as the reviews make them out to be. They’re rather thin for work socks. The people who think they’re thick must only wear business socks or something.
