Jetstar BALI Sale: Return DARW $149, PERTH $158, ADEL $178, CAIRNS $236, MELB $238

740

Jetstar has launched a crazy Bali sale to beat (and to avoid pricebeating) Tigerair's offer from earlier today.

Fares seem to be available from early April to late May 2016, and there are stacks of seats at time of posting. Happy travels :)

Here are the usual screenshots:

You don't have to comment, you know that?

      • Neither do you.

I am not commenting on the deal, just replying to you.

I am not commenting on the deal, just replying to you.

          Oh, trolling… That's fine then…

        • @bargained: Flying directly into the 'ashes'

          boo!

@theone4u: Makes a change, I thought the Aussies were flying away from the Ashes!

        • +1

@phluffed: there appears to be a broad ash cloud stopping us from getting to our destination.

Takes one to know one vj

        • @jv: please explain

  • Anyone flying Jetstar on their 787 Dreamliner service to Bali will have a much more comfortable flight compared to Tiger Air's cramped 737 flights to Bali.

    • +2

I'd disagree. The 787 uses a 9 seat configuration in economy, yet it is way narrower than a 777 for example. As a result, their seats are really narrow.

      • 9 seat config? Holy crap..never heard this before..is it 333 or 252?

        • Oops, anyway comment read along the lines of:

Argh your italics totally messed with my eyes :P

Flew with Jetstar to Bali return in Feb this year. If you're lucky try and score the last aisle on either of the two side sections (not the middle). The plant has a gradual slant at the back which means instead of being 3-3-3 it is 2-3-2 with a lot more room, made flying back from Bali overnight a lot roomier and easier.

  • +2

If only it was cheaper to fly to Broome than it was to fly to Bali!

    • +1

The hotel stay and the attractions would also have to be cheaper,,

Such a shame,, I'd love to visit qld or nt more often but in the end money speaks…

  • Jetstar last Bali sale was $104 return DRW

  • No flights at all (sale or otherwise) showing for Adelaide to Bali after the end of May. Not sure why hope it doesn't mean the service is being discontinued?

    • I think you'll find it has something to do with Virgin's announcement today.

Virgin today announced they are moving their direct Adelaide to Bali service over to Tigerair. You now cannot fly Virgin metal from ADL-DPS unless you go from ADL-SYD or similar.

I would say Jetstar have suspended the purchase of flights after May as to stop people price matching Tigerair flights. You'll find the schedule of Jetstar flights will now change slightly so price match won't be an option.

  • +5

    No syd :(

  • You can book Tiger flights from March from Adelaide to Bali though so 3 months of price matching is possible just not seeing any flights for Jetstar on the same route from June onwards ?

ive been bumped or cancelled for last 4 return flights with jetstar from Perth…
    no more jetstar…

ps. my last flight from perth-> was only $250 return… and still not a bargain when you don't get to fly. and lose money on hotels, tours, etc from no flight.

    • What about jetsun

    • no reason to neg this deal……….. its irrelevant.

      • +2

errr. which? the fact the company:
        1. does not deliver.
        2. is not even as cheap as my non deal booking.

ive been bumped or cancelled for last 4 return flights with jetstar from Perth

      Cool story.

      • Thinking the same. With luck like that I wouldn't like to be on any flight with any airline they were booked on.

Unless of course they work for a Union, as they seem to be always putting down Jetstar.

  • Why no love for Brisbane? :(

    • Plenty of love but at $423 :)

      • It has gotten somewhat better than that. $298

  • +4

No "JETARSE" coupon code.. Boo Boo!

  • Excellent, Booked 6 Adults, 3 children and an Infant to Bali ex Perth for just over $1,400. 4th year in a row at around $150 per adult.

  • +1

cheers, booked for 240 return from Melbourne

    • is this still running? What dates?

  • Anyone else having any trouble with booking from Adelaide? States special is from $89, then you go to check flights and all flights to Bali are $179 at cheapest…

    • You need to set your return date before your departure date to get the $89 fares in both directions, currently.

      • Pretty much all sold out until end of May (from Adelaide…) Cheers for the info

        • did u manage to get any flights @uppers? I can't find any for a return trip at that price

        • @fittycent: Nope…

  • So, for rookies like me — where is good to stay here?

    • +2

Kuta for partying, Seminyak for relaxing, Legian for half/half.

I haven't done much of Ubud or Nusa Dua (except day trips) so not sure what it's like to stay there.

    • Grandmas in seminyak is great, $30 a night and a few minutes walk to the seminyak beach

      • TripAdvisor ranks it #93 of 117 hotels in Seminyak. Probably not the best for a first timer.

@lewislardboy - What is your per night budget?

        • It's $30 a night with a great location, can't expect much more

        • +1

@strikerzebra: Depends on what your take of $30 a night is. He/she may like to experience something a little nicer seeing it is their first time to Bali.

        • In the ballpark of $120 - $150 a night. Happy for it to go lower if it's a bargain; happy to go higher if the facilities are good value.

  • +1

I found too many hit & miss experiences of even expensive Bali hotels on TripAdvisor.
Check out AirBnB. Amazing villas and for far less $.

    • Any you recommend/have on your wish list? Going next May with a group of 4, always suck at picking accommodation :)
