On IOS you have a flashlight built in to the control centre

This iPhone flashlight switch is better than third-party apps because it is easier to turn on and off

    http://www.gottabemobile.com/2014/07/08/how-to-use-the-iphon…

So free is about as high a price as anyone would every want to pay for this app.

    • Wasn't there a Malware, named Flashlight (or similar)?

      • +1

        Only on Android

        http://au.pcmag.com/software/29649/feature/please-stop-insta…

But given your other comment below why wouldn't we be surprised your flashlight isnt working that brightly, This is an IOS posting ☀️

      • Most of these flashlight apps are intentionally malware.

Furthermore, only a complete idiot would download these when both Apple and Android come with more integrated flashlights built in.

One might get a hint when their torch asks them for permission to access their contacts, files, camera, etc…! then again maybe not…

It's not free as it's taking up space on the phone.
Torch APPS are a thing of the past I think.

You Android users are such sheep the way you make the same dull, repetetive comments ;-)

        • -4

Fallacy "ad hominem" doesn't show much debating talent,
          on your part.

Apple doesn't exactly Thank-you for your loyalty, IMO.

        • @IVI: Where as flashlight Malware thanks you for yours, Maybe you'll see the light one day 🔦

        • +3

@IVI: your reply is a bit above my intelligence level so not quite sure what that means….seriously!!

My comment was a joke in that android users standard repetitive dig is calling apple users sheep. They seem to spend so much time on forums with the same comments I just wonder what the point is. Kind of…why not just get a life!

          I don't have a brand loyalty, its just a bloody phone…

        • +1

@IVI: No one was debating you so you didn't win anything and people still think you're a moron who has tied part of their identity to a mobile phone brand like a six year old.

I have a Sony Z1 compact with a 32gb card in it but I don't see the point in a flash light app when it's built into the pull down screen. It's just excess baggage regardless of Android or IOS.

Came in here thinking it was a free fleshlight. Left disappointed

    • +4

I've got a used one you can buy from me for a cheap price

Only had a few inches of use. A bit of windex and it'll be as good as new.

      • +1

        Did you just burn yourself?

      • How much you want for it?

      • Windex eh, I use that as aftershave. I learnt that from Gramps.

the best, simplest and fastest, ios flashlight/torch app is Flashlight by Rik - always totally free and ad-free :)

    https://itunes.apple.com/app/flashlight-by-rik/id384021568

    • A bit weird the UI goes so close to the sides.

  • +4

Argh, why do you have two closing parentheses but only one opening?

    • +2

      Found the programmer.

  • +3

Pointless now with the built in Flashlight.

    • -2

Actually it's better with one tap of a button compared with the embedded one, swipe and tap, that's two thing you must do!

      • +1

not if your phone is locked, or if its not on the front page of apps

  • +2

    What a waste

Dimple sounds interesting, but "Updated: 18 December 2012"?

    • LOL. I meant to type "Dimmable".

  • +4

Hey dudes. I'm building this new Myspace app you might like. Will post when done.

Many of the new updates on the App Store for iPhone have stolen ideas which some individuals have created , these guys should copyright these ideas so they don't get further developed on iOS, these guys should get paid!

    • +1

      Just stop. Please…

  • -2

Can't believe flashlight apps cost money on iOS. On Android, it's just a toggle in the pull down notification menu. And there's a bunch more of them for free with more levels of light.

    • +3

Can't believe you make judgements about iOS devices without ever having used one.

      • Actually I have an iPad, which counts as an iOS device. There's no flash on it though, so I wouldn't have known.

    • That's exactly the same as it is in iOS…

      • Why sell an app for it then?

        • Cause people are stupid

  • This function is already free…

  • Funny that one day for free which lasted for 3 years…

  • No sane person is going to buy an app like this. The developers should just give up.

    • A lot of apps like this are created for sake of creating - often new developers are asked if they ever released apps to AppStore.

      • Good point. I guess it's also an easy app to create to dip your toes into the app creating world if you're starting out.
