  • Hi rep, just placed an order for a NZ SIM. Just wonder how long it would it take to arrive?

Also, what's the significance of the "Activation Date" on the order? Would it be a problem if I arrive earlier or later than this date?

    • For the NZ card it shouldn't be an issue (as it is self-activating). For cards like Japan that have expiry dates or USA where we activate on the date provided it is of major significance.
We dispatch from Melbourne next business day unless the activation date is VERY far in the future. Depending on where you are in AUS could be 1-7 business days. Usually between 2-4 though.

I think the price for the Domoco Japan Sim is good, as it is on par with a b-mobile visitor sim. I chose to buy from you as it means I don't have to worry about finding the post office when I arrive at Narita Airport. Also the b-mobile website was not secured, so I was reluctant to enter in my credit card details. I'm just hoping the throttled speeds are still reasonable enough for web browsing. Thanks.

    • Hi Rep, your website doesn't have a link to the actual companies website with more information. I also wanted to know what the throttling speed would be if it was to slow down. I tried the actual Docomo website, but there's no mention of your 7 day Sim Option or your other 14 Day One??

Is your Japan sim just "running" of Docomo Network, if so which Company is with? Some of the ones I have used previously are slow and would like to avoid.

  • 750Mb is not very much data for the NZ SIM.

I pick up a Vodafone travel sim in Wellington airport every month or so with 3Gb for $39. They swap my sim and activate in seconds.

  • I'll be in Japan on 30th October…guess I can't make the purchase = (

    • You can! We expect new stock in a few days where we will dispatch then. October 15th is only for stock to be shipped out ASAP.

      • Just bought one for Japan trip in November.
Hopefully it will be delivered before November.
        Thanks OP!

Will make sure it is. You're welcome :)

  • i am going to japan on end of november, so i just put the travel date in?
also it will work on iphone right?

  • Just got back from a 10 day trip to the USA and the $29 AUD 2 GB Simple Mobile offer from TSD worked great.

Coverage using iPhone 6 was generally good in LA and Las Vegas.

Will definitely use TSD again on future trips, saves so much hassle trying to find a data SIM in local shops after arriving.

Just have to say that I normally just pick up a wifi hotspot while in Japan, but have always been impressed with TSD's involvement here and willingness to respond to questions and decided to bite the bullet this time around!

    • Really hope it is beneficial for you! Let us know how you go and have a great time :)

  • TSD, Japanese SIM arrived today… Thanks!

(Was kinda worried as I'm leaving next week)

    • +1

No worries at all. Have a great time :)

  • Damn,

    discounts finished for japan sims?
    7daysfor32 no longer works.

    • Unfortunately this promotion ended a few days ago!

      • Ah ok thanks for confirming.
