      isn't that dead?

      • I assume it is but would like it to be alive

  • Which one fits in a macbook air 2014?

    • Ton of sites/guides around.
      Hopefully this helps.

  • Thinking

    840 EVO 120GB $79
may have ended up in list by mistake, their promo is SSD's starting from $99 and the 120gb 840 EVO already out of stock….
Was going to grab one as needed a cheap SSD to fix up a laptop for a friend. Not sure I can justify the extra for the 850 so will need to look around for something else.

Always got an eye-out for mSATA deals, since they seem more niche. Finally, cheap units worthy of matching/replacing my M5M from 3 years ago!

  • My M.2 slot only supports PCI-E not SATA.

  • Hi all. Dumb question. What would the best 250GB version be to plug into this unit (I just ordered)?

      The cheapest.
ANY SSD will be mental-fast for a general desktop, like that.

Being an OEM machine, it's probably only equipped for what's already inside.
You'll possibly need a power-splitter (Y) cable, and another SATA cable.

Keep the HDD where it is, add the SSD. You'll be able to "mount" (place) the SSD someone comfy inside. They weight NOTHING, have no moving parts, and a desktop simply sits-there… So no desperate need to 'secure' it.

Might need to use a cable of small cable ties, to route things away from CPU fan.

      • Awesome - thanks heaps for the response!

  • Dont know if this was a good deal but msy have the same price for a while and even cheaper for the 250gb msata.
