LG G Flex 2 H959 4G 32GB (2GB RAM) $401.51 Inc Shipping @ T-Dimension

310

Not sure why this hasn't been posted already.

T-Dimension are selling the LG G Flex 2 for $401.51AUD including shipping (for silver), or $405.07 for red: http://www.t-dimension.com/revamp/2010-06-26-2009-01-01-c-14…

This is an absolute bargain for the money - with the latest (and fastest) snapdragon 810 processor, and a 5.5" 1080p display. Includes a microSD card slot :) (EDIT - sorry, just been confirmed by T-Dimension that this model does not actually have an FM radio inbuilt)

Recently bought a LG G4 H815T from T-Dimension and I received it within 4 days (with the standard free shipping - was via Toll). going to pick one of these up too just to try it out!

Only caveat really is that it doesn't support 700mhz 4G but supports all other main 4G bands in Australia.

EDIT - Lollipop 5.1.1 is available from LG for this device which supposedly allays most of the performance complaints.

  • does look like a real bargain… $400 for a SD810 phone.
I assume the POLED screen is nice?

  • Wasn't this one hugely derided as being terrible / overheating / throttling etc as it was one of the first 810 phones out of the gate?

    • +4

Seems to have been sorted out with updates, droid-life hated on it but Android Authority and PhoneDog didn't raise any complaints.

Even when its throttling for heat, its still faster in benchmarks than the Snapdragon 800, so it's not like you're really losing anything compared to anything else you might be able to get for $400 :)

Ah true, yeah just browsed a few updated reviews and fairly good things said - good price if you're on the hunt for something a bit unique then!

  • if you don't like the curved body you can straighten it apparently.

  • How do you know this is the 3gb ram version?

    • from everything ive read, the 32gb model has 3gb RAM, the 16gb model has 2gb RAM (just like the G3).

      • +2

Don't think so, there are listings with 32gb model having 2gb ram, and people on forums also saying their 32gb model came with 2gb ram. So I'm thinking unless the listing explicitly says it has 3gb ram then it is the 2gb ram version.

  • Good find, thanks Op,, another phone to add to the myriad of options when shopping..:)

Comparison between this and the LG G3 and G4

Looks like there's only minor differences, apart from this being curved.

    • True, interesting review on gsmarena- given it was double the price of the g3 on launch, and its now less.

    • you mean minor differences between this and G3, right? G4 got dat camera

I prefer to spend extra $29.95 and buy it from yatango. (they will offer you the membership price even you are not using yatango.) $429.95. The most important thing is to get Australia warranty.

However people who are interested in buying this model have to care about the heat issue.

      Avoid Yantango like the plague.

Nothing but horror stories. I've had first hand experience with their Nexus 6.

      Don't go there!

good old mobicity/yatango ! … up to their old/new tricks :) gotta love having 89 pages of complaints and issue's on the forums ..hehehe

      • Thanks heaps for info, was thinking about buying from them.

  • Will it work on Telstra 4G ? I think 700MHz is a band for Telstra 4G

Also is T-Dimension a decent place to purchase from?

    • T-Dimension is perfectly legit place to buy from. I have purchased a couple of phones from them in the past and they are fine.

      • Great, thanks :)

  • Just a few questions.

What are peoples experience dealing with T-Dimension and their support/repairs?
As I read a few comments on here that say local LG support is crap.
Who pays to send it back to them if needed?

    • +1

T-dimension were very prompt in responding to my queries about buying an LG G4 off them recently - and I received the phone less than 4 business days after paying for it, which I thought was really impressive. Can't see why they would be any different here :)

    • So 700MHz is only needed/used by for Telstra 4G?, I'm with amaysim (very happy with), but will soon switch to Optus.
      I wont be using Telstra.

Any other thing that's missing from this?

Is the model from this deal the exact one thats on GMS arena, as noted above?

It be great if it came in a 64GB version.

      Very tempted with this.
      Thank you OP.

      • +1

Optus and Telstra both use 700mhz (band 28). I wouldn't buy a phone if you're missing out on what a lot of 4g is being rolled out on.

        • Thanks for that, guess I'll wait for a good deal 700mhz/band 28 version, if there is one.

        • Will Telstra still work on the phone once they roll out to that band?

        • @Samantha93: Yes, telstra operate on a few different bands, but both telstra and optus are rolling out new towers/coverage on 700mhz.

Here's a guide to the bands we use

eGlobal seems to have it for $400 shipped, not sure if it's a recent change:

    http://www.eglobaldigitalcameras.com.au/lg-g-flex-2-d959-4g-…

    • For the $1 difference I'd rather go through T-Dimension given my good experiences with them. but the prices are generally hovering around $400ish.

    • eglobal version has 700MHZ ticked. Is that an error ?

      • It does Band 17 700Mhz. Not Band 28 - this won't work in Australia.

    • Now eGlobal is doing it at $380 shipped!
      Better price than ever :)

I have one, bought the red version from T-Dimension for $415 delivered in 5 working days. RAM is 2GB, Antutu scored varied between 44000 to 52000, if you have been using a lot, it does get hot but not unbearable hot, you definitely feel it near the back camera area. Mine is on 5.1.1, have not experienced lag or freeze yet so far, mine LG G2 suffer from lag and freeze occasionally, so LG G Flex2 is definitely a better phone than LG G2. I actually like it better than even my Note 3, it looks nice and feel nice, back is a bit slippery and I am getting a case to protect from a drop. I am using it with Telstra and does get 4G, maybe can't get 4GX if that is what some of us is after. Just done a speedtest, 26.91Mbps download and 17.77Mbps upload speed.

  • I just received an email from them..

    to me
    yes, 3 GB RAM

  • Good comparison with S6 Edge. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pjMvTDuOfHc
But you're paying less than half for this, so definitely a DEAL..

  • This from T Dimension FAQ on their warranty. Does it mean they pay postage for warranty claim. Anyone with experience on this? Thanks.
