  • Good value for the price, although the GPU suggests gaming yet the CPU isn't powerful enough to keep up with newer games. I guess it would be an ok laptop for low end gaming?

    • GPU does not suggest gaming one bit.

It's a dedicated GPU over a capable APU. It's not a fantastic chip, but the 8670 is at least capable of handling most games at a playable framerate.

        • I use a laptop on a R7 M265 and it really struggles to run anything above a low/medium on 720P. This includes Tomb Raider, Watch Dogs, Sleeping Dogs and PES2015. I am trying to forget about Wild Hunt was ever released.

The rig advertised is only marginally better even with crossfire.

        • @blahman: I have a laptop with a 6770m, which is older but similar performance, but with a quad core Intel CPU. I play a lot of games of recent years on there, including Sleeping Dogs, Arkham series, Skyrim, Divinity: OS, Pillars of Eternity, Deus Ex.

Yes, you do need to play at 720p (this laptop's res is 1366x768, same as mine) and at low/med settings, but they're still playable.

With the AMD APU though I'm sceptical the CPU performance will hold up.

Any chance on being able to upgrade the screen to 1600x900 or even better - 1920x1080?

I may jump on this deal if the screen could be upgraded from 1366x768 for a decent cost, but I just can't use that resolution for productivity tasks.

I doubt they offer upgrade options on a refurb.

  • Anyone could find size and weight of this laptop?
