Normally $249, now $199 which is amazing. This is well below what they are charging in the US

Wow, I think I should buy this and find a Samsung NX camera to buy so I can fit this lens to it.

      Ozbargain to the rescue. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/207165

Only $213 and with kit zoom too.

      • Comes with 20-50 lens

    • just get this zoom lens with the camera from a drop shipper like this for $300 delivered
      http://www.camerasky.com.au/samsung-nx2000-mirrorless-white-…
its gonna be a grey import.
the only con to the nx2000 compared to nx1000 is no lens adaptor functionality so you cant put other brand lenses on ie pentax k mount

      • Are camerasky legit? Seems you cant pay with paypal

        • Oh yeah, looks like a lottery sometimes a bargain sometimes a scam.
My mistake don't buy from camerasky

        • @CeeAyeEee: thanks. I was about to get it.

These were going for $150 on a couple web sites until the NX1 came out and suddenly prices went back to rrp.

    • This, I paid $209 for this lens at the start of the year and they were $190 in June. Since then all Samsung lenses (and probably others) have jumped. Generally speaking though the lenses are still way cheaper here than overseas which is unusual for Aus.

    A shocking minimum f-stop.

    • How exactly? Olympus 40-150 is f/4-5.6, Sony 55-210 is f/4.5-6.3, Fujifilm 50-230 is f/4.5-6.7, Panasonic 45-150 and 45-200 are f/4-5.6, Canon 55-200 is f/4.5-6.3. It's already faster than a few others and no other manufacturer makes a faster APS-C mirrorless kit telephoto lens. Why does it matter anyway? You'll be stopping down at f/8 to get the maximum sharpness out of these entry level telephoto lenses.

Well, I guess for the price it's reasonable, but why wouldn't you want to invest double and get a much better lens? This lens might be cheap, but its value is low. There are better all-arounders for beginners, that indeed cost more, but not much more. My opinion anyway.

        • Any particular examples of 'much better' for the nx range?

The 50-150mm f2.8 is about $1700-$1800. Can you really not see the bargain for what it is?

$199 for a paper weight… Shame you can use it as a mug. Otherwise it would have been a good deal with such multi function :P

I don't own a Samsung but the reviews are pretty good for a consumer zoom. If I had an NX I'd buy it.
