  • Wait.. what? Triple core? That's gotta be a first!

    • is it? damn even better!

They're probably counting the the single core GPU :P

    • What about iPad and A8X? It has 3 cores.

      • Yup. IPad has 3 cores.

      • +5

no, an Apple only has one core, but plenty of seeds.

        • One core, plenty of seeds. Weeding speech sorted.

    http://www.gsmarena.com/alcatel_pixi_7-6164.php

    Size 7.0 inches (~62.3% screen-to-body ratio)
    Resolution 540 x 960 pixels (~157 ppi pixel density)
    Chipset Mediatek MT8117
    CPU Dual-core 1.2 GHz
MEMORY Card slot microSD, up to 32 GB
Internal 4 GB, 1 GB RAM (LATAM), 512 MB RAM (EMEA)
    CAMERA Primary VGA, 640 x 480 pixels

What a weird spec… oddball res. and the main camera is lol, not that its that important i guess

    • Not at this price! Seems like a bargain, was looking for a cheap one for work to use out in the yard simply for office.

Internal 4 GB, 1 GB RAM (LATAM), 512 MB RAM (EMEA)

Do we know what RAM it has?

Makes a big difference. 512MB is going to be all but useless.

    • Resolution 540 x 960 pixels (~157 ppi pixel density) is really bad.
The main problem with Android is that you can't install app's on external memory.

      nooooooooooooooooo

Not QHD (Quad HD) but rather qHD far less impressive https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Graphics_display_resolution

    • +2

i always find it funny they both call it qhd

one is quarter of FHD the other is 4x FHD

puhleaseeee dont join the mass stupidity and buy this you will know the definition of regret

I know how it feels my friend :(

  • Low ram, resolution, CPU and tiny storage. I see no bargain.

    • i dont think there is a well supported reasonable fast brand name 7" 1,280 x 800 tablet for twice the price.

Been spoiled by the Nexus 7-2 so all these look like shit to me.

  • and no software roms or updates

    This is only worth $25-35

    • This is only worth $25-35

You'd have to pay me more than that to use it.

  • OP. It's a 1.2GHz dual core, not triple core (which i've never heard of in a mobile phone).

  • does it have enough storage for 1 app? (no, not facebook)

  • im looking for a kindle substitute. any recommends?

    • +1

Would probably be perfect as an ereader/ comics reader. not sure what people complain about, you get what you pay for…as in this will not be an "awesome gaming tablet" for $59 but would do everything fine.

      • People don't trash these things because they aren't high-end. They trash them because they are so low-end that they aren't even worth $59 and therefore don't constitute a bargain.

Tablets of this calibre can be found in clearance bins all over the place these days because even retailers have stopped pretending that they are marketable.
