3m cables have high resistance loss and you will notice that a quality 3m cable (such as Anker) is quick thick and heavy compared to the 1.5m.
bought this generic cable from shoppingsquare. worked fine for a couple of days then not charging at all.
seems not a lot of money, but considering how many people order this useless 'cheap' cable (read: stuffs) from chinese sites now we wondering how china became an economic giant nowadays.
it is so cheap so we kind of ignoring it (perhaps the return shipping is more expensive). but at the other end it's free money for them.
+1. I always thought, meh, it's a few dollars, worth a try in case it's good and if I get a couple of months' use I got my money's worth. No product ever lasted that long for me.
Never again. Wasted so much money on cheap crap, I would have been better off donating it to charity. Plus, I supported those companies in their dodginess, so no wonder they keep making crap that breaks.
You can tell these are the imitation tips, the ones that have the exact tips as apple fit perfect, these will have a tighter fit.
I believe it's called a Lightning cable.
Also, is this certified? Will an iOS device complain that it's a 3rd party cable and refuse to work with it?
